Services
2018 We recommend booking as far in advance as you can, as spots start to fill up quickly! Last minute openings are limited, but we'll squeeze you in if we can. We love to chit chat, so if you have any questions, give us a shout! 3-4 Hours Newborn Art Session designed to capture your newborn in as many poses as possible, along with many family poses if you'd like.
As it turned out, I tend to have my hands full (kind of crazy full actually), and posting new images just seems to be last on my neverending list. My little studio really took off in 2012, and we're fully booked with newborns most weeks out of the year. Kaia (above) and Natalie (below), two little girls who had wonderful sessions this month, I'm hoping I can make time to share their images soon.
This is always the hardest part! You'd think I'd love to tell my story here, but it's just plain awkward to write about myself. At the very least, here's a little glimpse of who I am. First off, I love my job. I am so lucky to spend a few hours snuggling your little one at this incredibly vulnerable time in your new family's life.
For new parents, the struggle is real - but there are seven things you can do to help your newborn sleep soundly during his or her first few weeks (and maybe even catch a few Zs yourself). Time spent sleeping is a lot more productive than it looks. During active sleep, her brain is exceptionally busy.
Before you can take care of a newborn, you need to take care of yourself - and that starts with doing everything you can to have a healthy pregnancy. As soon as you find out you're pregnant, examine your lifestyle; are there ways you can make improvements in your diet or your habits for both of your well-being?

Laura is AWESOME. She communicates well and is easy to work with. We did a photo package with her about a month ago (middle of COVID) and her home studio felt safe and well organized. Great ventilation, everything was sanitized and disinfected, etc. It was so organized that my wife and I were actually able to take a much needed nap while the shoot was happening! Laura was great with our newborn and she definitely knows every trick in the book to get the right shots. We received the touched up photos last week and are beyond happy with the result. I never thought I'd get professional

Laura is amazing! We are glad we found her on yelp. Our baby boy was born November 4, 2020 and we didn't really think about having a newborn shoot until a week after he was born. We were scared because of COVID but we didn't want to miss the opportunity to get our sweet boy photographed as a newborn. Laura was very responsive and was even able to squeeze us in her schedule. We had our photoshoot on November 19. She answered all our questions RE COVID beforehand and she has made so many changes in her studio to make sure it is safe. It was so easy communicating and working with her before

My family and I had a wonderful experience with Laura Jane Studios, and our baby pictures turned out beautifully! I initially reached out to her prior to the pandemic to sign up for a newborn shoot. Well, my son was born right at the beginning of the pandemic as things were shutting down, so we decided to postpone the shoot until things were safer.

Laura and her partner knew just what to do to get the shots we wanted and they came out beautifully. The pictures they print are way better than Costco or some other printer so I would suggest to use those for the stuff you hang at home.
We were exhausted new parents and Laura let us use the living room to take a nap and eat some lunch, which we sorely needed at the time!

Laura goes above and beyond and the results are fantastic! We loved the whole experience, from picking out props to taking a nap on Laura's sofa while she did the photoshoot with our 7-day old son. Her aesthetic is unique, yet classic and so beautiful. We will always treasure our photos and plan to go back to her for more photos in the future.

Laura is a wonderful newborn photographer! She took our first son's photos and we loved her work so much that we had to book her again when our second son was born. She made sure to reference the photographs of our first son and was thorough about making sure she incorporated any new poses or color schemes.
Having a photographer take photos of your newborn can be scary, but Laura and her team make sure to take good care of your baby and are able to capture the most adorable photos. Highly recommend her for her skill, care and quality!

My sister hired her to take birth announcement photos for my new little nephew. I can't recommend her enough - somehow she took this squealing wobbly baby and wrapped him up and turned him into a little the cutest widdle teddy bundled gift. Her work with babies and her photography are top notch!! We love these photos!! She's fantastic!

I contacted Laura about newborn baby shoot after the birth of my son and was so lucky she had an opening for us the following week. Laura, like her house, was warm and inviting. She was so good with my newborn that I swear she should also work as a post partum doula. Half way through the photo shoot my baby woke up and started crying. I thought, "Ahh, that's it. Guess we are done now." Nope! Laura fed and rocked the baby till he fell asleep and continued shooting for another 30 minutes. She is such a pro!

I can not say enough great things about Laura Jane! She is such a talented photographer. The images she creates are so beautiful! My dad was a professional photographer for 35 years so my standard is very high. Laura has taken my daughters newborn photos and our family photos for the holiday. She is a true portrait photographer and is great at mastering lighting and posing. Last year our Christmas card was praised by so many people who said it was the most beautiful card!!! We really love her work!

We used Laura twice for the newborn photos for our kids and we couldn't love the pictures or the experience more. We first brought our newborn baby daughter in when she was less than a week old and got the most amazing photographs of her and our family. On our second visit to Laura's studio we had a particularly tricky group shot involving a toddler and our newborn preemie twins. Laura was able to capture the most beautiful images of our 3 kids. We receive so many compliments on them! The backgrounds she uses are gorgeous and textured while allowing the baby to be the true focus

I've gone to see Laura 4 times now for newborn photos. Each set of pictures came out beautifully! Not only is Laura an excellent, professional photographer, but she is also very warm and friendly and makes the entire experience a joy.
One thing I really appreciate is that she is always adding new poses, props and accessories so that even though we've had photos done for four babies, they all look unique - and stunning. I just can't recommend her enough!

I was so happy to have found Laura! From beginning to end Laura has the best customer service. Her home studio was warm, inviting and clean. Her and her assistant were experts on handling a new born and definitely made this mama feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Our pictures came out AMAZING :)

Simply AMAZING! Her work and customer service (the way she treats her clients) is so comforting that you feel like family during the shoot.
We photographed our newborn and are in love with the final product. I can't say enough nice things about Laura: prompt, professional and great at responding to her clients needs.

If you're looking for an amazing newborn photographer, Laura is the perfect choice. We've used her for both of our girls newborn photos and the pictures were absolutely stunning. There is a special art about correctly capturing newborns and Laura definitely is a master in her field. She's also amazing with kids and was able to get our tantruming two year old to smile for a few photos! She's also easy to correspond with and will have your photos ready in no time. We highly recommend her services!

Our newborn photos came out adorable! Laura is very well versed in her craft and does a great job capturing the intimate innocence of fleeting newborn moments. Studio session went by without any tantrums due to Laura's pro swaddling skills! She is amazing.

Being a (mostly frazzled but let's just say) busy mother of two, I'm writing this review in the dark while my children are asleep. Let's hope they stay snoozing, so I can finally post this review. Truly belated, considering that we booked Laura FOUR times, twice in 2015, then 2017, and once more in 2018.
Laura is absolutely the best, truly gifted. With newborn photography, it's not just point and snap snap snap. There's a lot more that goes with it, and somehow Laura does it and then some. Just scroll through the photos here, her website, or other social media.
