Green Tulip is a labor of love. Our goal is to serve our community and make our education accessible to all children who need it. This is why we are a nonprofit organization, and soon we will be enrolling for our full day program and offering partial scholarships. Green Tulip is a school that has been designed with all children in mind.
We wanted to create a space where "outside time" never has to end; a place where children were free to choose the environment that is best for them and explore the interest of their choice. The school hosts an outdoor environment alive with opportunities to learn, it is fully equipped with many learning materials commonly found indoors to further encourage outdoor learning.

Services
Our outdoor classroom is set to accommodate most weather. We will be outside often, learning, exploring, playing, and tending to our plants and animals. We will naturally introduce your child to delicious and nutritious foods. We serve organic and we prefer locally grown and sometimes even school grown fruits and veggies.
If you are at all interested in the school for Fall 2020, please email us at enrollment@greentulipschool.com as we are filling the Final spaces for this fall and have a few spaces available in one of our classes. Once space is full, or to secure a spot for another year, we suggest you consider getting on the waitlist.
In order for us to operate in the best way possible and provide your child with the best care and education, tuition is due in full on the 1st of every month. If the 1st falls on a weekend or on a day your child does not attend then it is due the Friday prior. Holidays and Closures have been factored into the tuition rates, therefore tuition is not waived for summer and winter breaks or national holidays.
The Green Tulip offers multiple classrooms and learning stations both indoors and outdoors for the children to explore. Our classrooms are peaceful, warm, and inviting. We pay very close attention to organization and presentation and believe that a calm peaceful setting is crucial to a positive learning environment.
At Green Tulip, we pride ourselves on the quality, taste, and presentation of our food. We only use the best ingredients in our meals and introduce and expose the children to an array of delicious foods that they come to love and enjoy. We are 100% organic and can cater to food allergies and sensitives.

Our kiddo has been with Nadine at Green Tulips Peace & Nature School for over a year and she loves it! Our daughter feels so cared for and I feel such peace knowing she is loved. We switched from a traditional school for the organic homemade meals, learning environment, Nadine's calming atmosphere, and unlimited access to the outdoor classroom. We feel so lucky to be there and be within the community!

The Green Tulip is an amazing school. The teaching style is all about fun, music, and respect. I have been a music and theatre teacher for 15 years and this is one of the most well behaved group of kids I have ever worked with. That is because of all the skills they are learning from Nadine. Send you child to this school. You won't regret it!

Ms. Nadine has created such a joyous experience for my daughter! My daughter was very nervous to start preschool and be away from home. With Nadine's patience and the schools peaceful home-like atmosphere, my daughter thrived! Green Tulip offers home cooked organic meals, an outdoor classroom, encourages creativity, and helped my daughter gain more independent confidence. The most important thing is that we have always felt safe leaving our daughter in the care of Green Tulip, and our daughter feels safe too. I will definitely be sending my son here when it's his time and cannot recommend the school

Great school! My son says his favorite part is playing all day! Play is the occupation of a child that enables success in the world. My son is motivated to learn and ask questions because curiosity is encouraged. Miss Nadine cultivates a sense of compassion, curiosity and creativity in the kids. My son brings this engagement home to ask more questions or to try to build and create things on his own.

Ms. Nadine's Green Tulip School is a gem of the SE Portland and Lents Neighborhoods. We loved the calm tones and thoughtfully arranged indoor space with endless opportunities for exploration and creation. The outdoor space is wonderful as well. Winter time brought a lot of dance parties and time to experiment and grow, as well as Monday Theater classes! Our daughter has seemingly thrived during her time at the Green Tulip School.

We have our two kiddos at Green Tulip and have had a thoroughly positive experience. The attention paid to our kids and the learning environment are great. The Director, Nadine, is well educated in child psychology and behavior and implores a philosophy centered around creativity and nature. Our nanny of two years introduced us to and recommended the school when she needed to reduce the number of hours watching our kids. We've been incredibly pleased with how our kids easily transitioned into the school, the care they've been given, and the food they are served. The location is on a busy street

I visited the Green Tulip Preschool looking for a Nature based indoor/outdoor preschool and was not disappointed. Upon arrival, I was greeted with nothing but kindness and enthusiasm to many questions and asking to revisit areas a handful of times. The space inside and outside the house is utilized very well, offering a variety of learning centers and opportunities for the children across multiple developmental domains. My twin daughters attend Green Tulip and we are thrilled with the care, instruction, and creativity that Miss Nadine brings to this bright and thoughtful environment. My son and daughter had a wonderful experience at the Green Tulip Preschool. We had a magical 3yrs with Miss Nadine.The thought, knowledge and dedication she has for this school is immediately apparent when walking in the door. Nadine is warm and caring and I trust her 100% with my child's safety and with his developing mind. My son has been attending Green Tulip Preschool since it opened at it's new location and also for just under 2 years at the old location. During that time he has grown and learned so much with Nadine's guidance. Every time I pick him up he is so excited to tell me about all the fun he had. I cannot recommend this school highly enough.
