A little about myself, and Higher Ground Home Inspections. I've been a life long resident of Genesee County and currently reside in Fenton Township. My wife Brenda and I have been married for over 45 years, having raised two wonderful daughters. They are now raising families of their own. I have used Gary twice now. Wanted to make sure I had a few inspections to report on. He brought everything to my attention, and labels it different levels of importance and needing attention. I asked questions, he answered them all. I also called him post inspection, the following day, and he was more than happy to help answer my questions. I will be using him again on the next purchases I do as well.

I used Gary Lavigne as a highly recommended inspector! When he did the initial walk through/inspection he failed to mention some structural problems with the foundation,which I has caused my basement to get water into it creating mildew and mold! He asl failed to mention the problems with the rotted subflooring and joists that need hangers! If he was to mention these things from the beginning I never would have made an offer on this home!now me and my family are living in a home that could collapse in on us and deem the house condemned! He has not gotten back to me with solutions! I will be getting

Very rude and unprofessional. Buyer used this man to do inspection. I understand due diligence. However he was very rude during his inspection. He also tore and broke items within our home without telling us and we found later. He will not repair. We now have to repair damages he created. I will be reporting him. Hope this teaches him he has consequences for his actions.
