Memorial Funeral Home in both San Juan and Edinburg are family owned and operated. We were established in San Juan, Texas in 1994 and have since been serving Pharr, San Juan, Alamo and the surrounding communities. The Edinburg location was established in 2003 and have since been serving Edinburg and the neighboring communities.
Both locations were founded by Velma Sue and Leon De Leon and by Donaciano "Chano" Garza and the late Consuelo Garza. We know there are other funeral homes in the area to choose from. But we also know that families who turn to us experience our very high standards of service. We offer professional guidance and personal, specialized attention before, during, and after the loss of a loved one.

Unfortunately my family and I were very dissapointed with the expierence with this company. One of the hardest moments in our lives and it seemed that the employees we interacted with were not sympathetic, acted as if we were bothering them, and just wanted us to pay and leave. Upon arrival at the funeral home nobody was there to greet us and we and another pair of customers waited 10+ minutes for somwbody to be with us before we called to finally have someone come meet us. Originally when we requested our loved ones finger prints they gave us a link where we could buy them on jewelry through a

Poor customer service never use this place. They don't care about the deceased nor do they care about the family. It's all about getting the customer but not being able to handle the work load properly. I sent an email to the director until now I haven't received an email back. This place needs a caring and devoted staff. This would be a good starting point.

This funeral place lacks human decency. Leon the director, gave a quote over the phone, stating how he would help and give a set price. After family members go in to pay the price has overly escalated and Leon the director would not show his face even after he was requested to come out and explain why the price had drastically increased. At a time when you are vulnerable, sorrowful and extremely saddened this made the situation worse. How can you operate a funeral home not caring for people? When you lose a loved one it deeply hurts you beyond words...the financial situation can also add overwhelming

I want to give a huge thank you to Ellie Rojas . We are from Florida and my mom passed suddenly in texas and she made sure our process was smooth and she was so kind hearted and caring during our time of need . I would recommend this place to anyone who’s lost a loved one . They really do care about your loved one and will walk the process with you every step of the way . And I’m glad they have Ellie Rojas there . Thank you Ellie & Memorial Funeral home . We appreciate everything.

Ignore the ONE star.. that's the only way I could post my comment.
I give this funeral home "ZERO STARS"
As of this post December 5, 2016, it will probably take 6 more weeks to get my son's "CORRECT" death certificate. I will be posted another review with the date we receive the death certificate.
Extremely unprofessional.. made every excuse in the book about why they can't fill out a form correctly for death certificate. How does anyone make a mistake when 6 people are witnesses to the birthdate of my deceased son is March 21, 1984 and the death certificate is received a month later with the
