According to the American Physical Therapy Association, back pain is the most commonly reported pain across the nation, and one out of every four Americans has experienced back pain in the past three months. Back pain and sciatica differ but are often confused with each other. Back is specific to the upper, middle or lower back.
Neck pain can cause debilitating and extremely uncomfortable sensations, especially if the pain stretches from your neck down to your shoulders. According to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), approximately one-third of the population will experience neck pain in any given year. It can get worse if left untreated, and in severe cases, surgery may even be needed.
Physical therapy isn't normally someone's first thought when they have a headache - most of the time, the common reaction is to take some form of pain-relieving medication. This may help to relieve pain in the short-term, but if you are constantly suffering from headaches or migraines, pain relief drugs will not provide you with the same long-term effects that physical therapy will.

I came to Kaizen to see if Laser Therapy and PT could help my pain. I was diagnosed with 3 pinched nerves in my lumbar area and torn muscles in my hip.about 6 months prior and nothing relieved the pain, numbness and tingling down my leg to my toes. Arthritis in my spine is the cause of the inflammation that pinches my nerves. I had difficulty walking, my balance was terrible and I was crabby too.. I ruled out surgery as too risky.
The laser therapy reduced my pain within the first 5-6 treatments. Then I continued the laser with Barry and started PT sessions as well. After 2 months I am almost

I don't usually give 5* reviews, but it it well-deserved here at KAIZEN. A UW primary care physician, whom I saw for an assessment of my back issues, strongly recommended them, and he wasn't wrong.
Marina is great at what she does and with so much empathy! I always feel better the next day. I have an exercise routine to practice at home that contains only exercises she has done with me in the session. I like logging in to the portal and reporting what I completed, and, if there were some that I had a struggle with, we can discuss it at the next session.

I was afraid I was going to need knee surgery. The helpful little video about knees came into my email and I discovered some really helpful information. Made an appoint with Barry and was amazed to find that the knees were made better by stretching the muscles in the back of the thigh! Who knew!
Since then I have learned how to improve my back as well ! Much appreciated!

I delayed writing this review because I wanted to allow a little time to pass after my last PT session. I saw Colin for about 17 sessions to resolve a severe impingement of my right shoulder due to a likely torn rotator cuff. I did not want to have surgery during COVID but my movement was severely limited and getting worse. I also awoke with pain if I turned on my right side. I'm pleased to report that my range of motion improved by a least 90% due to Colin's expert care. After 6 months, I still have that range of motion and I also was able to stop using Advil. While I may need surgery in the future

I was referred by a friend to Kaizen Physical Therapy in June, 2021. I had a injury that occurred after riding a bike for the first time in many years. I saw Cisco and after I described the bike incident and the pain I was experiencing, he did a thorough examination of the area that was bothering me. I was suffering from tendonitis in the tendon that attaches the hamstring to the sitz bone.
Cisco did several massage techniques that helped with the pain. He also suggested laser light therapy to help with the inflammation. That was a procedure I was not familiar with. After several sessions with

I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and it affected my mobility, affected me able being able to walk around to even get to the bathroom. Everyday things I was not able to do on my own because of how much pain I was in. The doctor I was seeing at the time wanted to give me injections for my herniated disc. I personally did not want to go in and do injections. That is when I reached out to Derrick and received a lot of help once I started doing the stretches and the exercises within not even a month I was feeling almost 100% better. I am pain-free I am able to move around and do the things that

I hurt my back lifting a box, and was having trouble walking, without pain, I was referred to Colin and he was able to diagnose that I had a herniated disc which was pressing against my sciatic nerve. Within a few sessions I felt back to normal, as he was able to pull the nerve away from the disc with his therapy techniques and exercises. He was supportive, and fun and I am so thankful to have found his clinic. I have tried acupuncture, doctors prior and finally realized I needed physical therapy. I cannot believe I waited this long! Thank you!

Outstanding care in a nice upstairs space with good natural light! I sought out this PT location as they are one of the only PTs that offer cold laser therapy in town. It has taken forever for my injury to heal after a couple of surgeries and the laser therapy here really helps aid in the recovery. From the first visit you can notice real improvement in range of motion and no more pain! This is incredible and I'm not sure why more places don't offer laser therapy as a non-invasive treatment.
