My two kids who are 9 and 6 have been attending classes here for close to three years and it’s been amazing to see their growth and development. The technical self defense skills they continue to learn along with the level of maturity and discipline that is being developed made our decsion to send them here a very wise one. The staff is great in teaching them the martial arts, allowing them to have fun and encouraging them to be great in all they do, really special place!

My son has been attending WCMAA for about a year, and we could not be more pleased with the program. The instructors are excellent and the program is well-run. Now that our son is a purple belt, there are usually 2 senior instructors and 1-2 junior assistants running classes with class size in the ~12 student range. So much individual attention. I particularly like that the instructors insist on attention and discipline - "Focus my eyes, focus my mind, focus my body, ma'am!" Great training for self-defense and life in general.

A Great school. The instructors are friendly, engaged and experienced. The classes are fun and effective. There is a real sense of community here. We've been students for 9 years now and my kid is still engaged and enthused. The sifu shows a real respect for the deeper meanings that martial Arts can bring, such as honesty, respect, and self-discipline. Annual tournaments and seasonal special events are just icing on the cake.

My children and I have been training with WCMAA for almost five years. I truly enjoy training with adults and teens in my classes. We are making strides in our physical fitness and performance, and my children excelling socially and academically. Instructors provide timely and age-appropriate feedback throughout the lessons. After seeing very poor progress at the YMCA martial arts program, we elected to try this dojo. We enrolled our two boys. We like the discipline that Sifu Giuseppe and Jen impart in our boys. They are tough and know how to teach young children. Some of the bad reviews are regarding their 6 month commitment but we like it. After a 30 day trial period, it's a fair time to see if this is a good fit for your child. After that, the 6 month commitment makes sure your kids don't quit and stick with it which is a worthy thing for young kids to learn.

What an awesome school for everyone of any age. It's been close to ten years now that I have been training. They always run great classes. There are many families who train together and there is a great family atmosphere at West Coast Martial Arts Academy. The instructors are very knowledgeable and we always leave with a smile after an awesome workout. Highly recommend this school for your martial arts training.

We've been members of WCMAA for three years and we couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll both of our children back in 2013. WCMAA has taught our children skills tangible skills that get recognized and admired by other sport coaches and teachers. My son started taking classes almost a year ago. Fast forward now he's 5 years old and absolutely loving. Sensei Tyler, Sensei Jen and Sifu are the best teachers/instructors you will ever find. They are so passionate about teaching they put all their energy and expertise into every class. Their classes not only focus on techniques but also on building character through honor and respect. Absolutely the best!!!! The instructors are of the highest caliber, they are highly invested in each and every student, and they make sure the parents/ families of the students feel welcomed as well. They regularly have extra events for the students and encouraged families to attend as well. Recently, they hosted Shaolin Warrior Monks from China and students/ families could attend and watch their live performance. Very cool!! They also had a martial arts Grandmaster come and host master classes for the students. By far the best, most knowledgeable instructors, most warm and welcoming facilities

When we decided to put our oldest of 3 boys, Jack, into martial arts a year ago, we did our homework and looked at several studios in the area. After observing WCMA we decided this was the place for us. I couldn't be more thrilled with Giuseppe and Miss Jen and their approach with teaching. Giuseppe has a way with kids that makes them want to do better in the studio and at home. This is seriously the best place on earth for kids to reside outside their homes. Master Sifu and Sempai Jen are two of the most respectable people I have ever come across. Their ways with the kids, the shy ones, the rowdy ones, the small ones, the big ones, the young ones, the older ones, the bullied and the bullies, are rooted in encouragement through respect. Their manner is tough, but sensitive; and the kids are expected to be outside the dojo what they are taught on the mats. We've moved out of state for a year, and have called them several times so my kids can ask for advice on bullying

This place is fantastic. I originally signed my 5 and 3 year old up because of bullying issues, and I really liked the messaging of discipline and respect. I had no idea how phenomenal Sifu Giuseppe and Sensei Jen were with the kids. Turns out they are amazing, devoted, and incredible instructors. I find the constant reinforcement of positive behavior....treating others with respect, honesty, and kindness equal if not surpass the learning they get in school. Master Aliotta is the real deal. His discipline and high moral character reflect all that is the best in Martial Arts training.
While my Martial Arts background is unfortunately only distantly related to Chinese systems, as a long time Judo black belt who has also trained in Aikido in Japan, I can confidently say Master Aliotta is a teacher who brings it all together - the physical, mental, and even spiritual elements, behind what we're all looking for in a complete system of training.
My son had a terrific experience there, and I would highly recommend anyone locally to stop by and experience
