Services
When your name is called, bow with a loud "Osu" and run to form a line in front of the sensei. Once the test is started, do not say "Osu", Bow silently. If your test requires buki (weapons), take them with you so that you have them as you bow to the sensei. You will then place them on the side of the mat.
Please read the class etiquette description Chapter 2. Etiquette in Doshinkan Aikido, an Introduction. When entering the mat in the beginning of the class and at the end, you should perform a kneeling bow. All other times you come/go, you can use a standing bow. Do not walk off the mat (for water, bathroom break, etc), without first notifying/requesting from the instructor.

I wasn't really looking to start martial arts; I was looking for a practice to keep me grounded, to build confidence, to gain inner strength and peace. Encinitas Aikido and Sensei Jason have given me that and so much more! The philosophy of balance behind Aikido translates into every part of my life. Plus the physical training is continuously making me stronger and more confident. The training is vigorous and useful! Now that I've found Aikido, I can't imagine life without it.

I've been training with Jason Sensei for over a year now and my practice in both Doshinkan Aikido and Buki-Sojyutsu have progressed tremendously in that time.

We train early in the morning and push ourselves hard to achieve the best results. I recommend this academy to those committed to training at a high-level while learning the underlying fundamental principles and philosophies of Aikido.

I've been attending Aikido classes with Sensei Flo Li at Dojo of the Four Winds for 5 months now. Flo's deeply present teachings and reflections have opened me up to see who I am and who I am not, how I connect with myself and those around me along with how I can relax more authentically into "me" and with life. I feel more grounded, centered, mindful, self aware and peaceful since becoming a member. I love that this Dojo honors the true roots of Aikido which is based in universal love & harmony from the founder Ōsensei Morihei Ueshiba. For me this class is not just learning a martial

We LOVE It!!
My son has been coming to the Dojo for three years and has just taken his Junior Black Belt. Flo Sensei is fantastic with the kids. The training is formal, with great respect shown between teacher and student, students to students but SO much fun!
I couldn't recommend this magical place highly enough. It's like a big family.
