Food was amazing!!! The entire staff treats you like family. Very friendly & welcoming. Love the Friday night grill and the every other Tuesday fried chicken. Highly recommend.

Loved this place!! Great staff, and great food. Sat at the sandwich bar and enjoyed conversation with another customer as well as the staff.

Love the food but concerned about the water. Pittsboro is known for having poisonous drinking water and officials say that it is almost impossible for them to totally clear the poisons from our drinking water. The grill doesn't have a reverse osmosis filter at their location so I can't reasonably drink sweet tea, coffee, or anything else mixed with the water. It's not safe to drink. I'm hoping that this review will wake up the owner and force them to install a 100% filtration system at the grill. Customer safety should be their first concern.

This is my go to location for home style cooking! Above all, the service is outstanding. The staff make everyone feel like family! The menu is great American traditional fare. No nonsense favorites like meatloaf, burgers, fries, etc. But, they also have a wide variety of food, including entrees that surprised me. I love their breakfast and their prices make Virlie's one of the best deals in the Raleigh area! The location, the atmosphere, the service and the value make this one my all time favorites!

Excellent Hamburger, no need for condiments! Bun was fresh and hamburger was very tasty flavor. Fries were hot and no need for additional salt. Onion Rings were extremely well done! Must do when in Pittsboro.

This is beautiful family own restaurant in downtown Pittsboro this was my first time here and let me tell you it was amazing , I got two meat ball subs with 4 meatballs inside both 10 wings super duper fresh, mamas nachos which were loaded banana pudding and two drinks to go let me tell ya it was one of the best meals my wife and i have ever had i liked that the food wasn't salty very organic tasting . I noticed the ladies name that rang me up was Virlie so maybe family owned let me tell all that food was only 45 bucks i still have left overs and will for sure come back WOW!!!!!!

Delicious food! My family just moved to this area looking for a place to grab some breakfast when we stumbled upon this wonderful establishment. The portions are huge and at a decent price. Staff was kind and quick to my takeout order. I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s in town and looking for refreshing tasty food.

Fried flounder, fried okra and cole slaw with hush puppies. The flounder okra and puppies were very tender - not over cooked and not choked with too much breading. Just the right amount of seasoning too. I think the okra was cooked from fresh. No corn bread or biscuits tonight though... I was looking forward to a biscuit. :-) I managed to choke down 4 hush puppies instead. I might live. The wait staff and cashier were very friendly. Everyone there is hard working. They get your order and drinks the moment you sit down. All in all an excellent choice for a Southern home cooked supper.

This charming southern diner is top notch! The owner walks around and makes sure you’re comfortable and happy. I got the bacon waffle combo with sausage patties, eggs and hash browns. Delectable! For breakfast this is a must taste!

Our service and food was outstanding. My husband had the homemade meatloaf with gravy and mashed potatoes and green beans with a side salad. My husband said that the meatloaf was the best he has eaten. The green beans or seasoned just right but they delicious flavor that wasn't overpowering. The brown gravy was the perfect thickness. The mash potatoes were thick and creamy. We got a slice of there Chocolate Chess Pie for later.
