Services
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. An orthodontist is a specialist who has completed 4 years of dental school and has elected to specialize by completing an additional 2 to 3 years of advanced orthodontic training with an accredited educational program.
Dr. Cruz is a native San Diegan, born and raised in Pacific Beach and a graduate from Mission Bay High School. He attended UCSD where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and met his future wife, Keri. They currently have two children, Caylie age 11 and Carly age 6. Dr. Cruz earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003 graduating Cum Laude from UCLA.
We know that choosing a provider for your orthodontic services is a very personal decision. We provide our patients with the highest quality orthodontic services and care in a personal and professional environment. Getting to know you and meeting your individual orthodontic needs are our foremost concerns.
Our office enjoys volunteering during the holiday season and we encourage our patients to do the same. We recently worked with Heifer International to provide livestock and training to underprivileged people around the world. Veterans Elementary, Chula Vista Hills, and Salt Creek Elementary are encouraging children to read through the "The Reading Shuffle" program.
At your first visit with Dr. Cruz, a complimentary panoramic x-ray and a series of photos will be taken. These diagnostic records provide the information necessary for Dr. Cruz to discuss your orthodontic needs and options. The appointment for placement of your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes approximately one to two hours.
