We are the Hombu (Home) Dojo of the martial arts style of Nihon Koden Shindo Ryu the only US practicing location under Sensei Mark Mason, 5th Dan Black Belt and Master So-Shihan Felton Messina, 10th Dan Black Belt US, 7th Dan Black Belt Japan.
We are members of the USA National Karate Federation, and our students are eligible to participate in regional, national competitions, and even the Olympics! Our staff are SafeSport Trained and Certified providing you with an environment safe for all students. Pathway Karate is more than just a sport or a club, it is a way of life.

Sensei Mark has a passion for the community and wants to strengthen the Providence community by offering family centered Karate instruction teaching the "Pathway" to God (Nihon Koden Shindo Ryu) through physical discipline, hard work and strong core values. In 2016 Sensei Mark under the blessing of So-Shihan Messina founded Pathway Karate Academy where he has started to teach students from all walks of life.
We provide many programs to fit the needs of our community. All of our classes are taught by trained and certified professionals and are great for families. Adults can build discipline, strength, and confidence while learning the essentials of self-defense.
Students in our after school program are picked up from school receive snacks, homework help, karate and other fun activities; all while building discipline, strength, respect, confidence, team work and learning anti-bullying & self-defense techniques.Students in our summer camp program will enjoy tons of fun, learning and adventure.

Kids get to have fun while building discipline, strength, respect and confidence. Students will also learning anti-bullying techniques and self-defense. Families (all ages) can practice together for our traditional karate training. Spend quality time, get a great workout and build discipline, strength, respect and confidence while learning self-defense techniques.

Messaged me on Indeed saying that I applied for a position AND made an interview, BOTH OF WHICH I DIDNT EVEN DO!!! Messaged me again on Indeed saying “Since you did not show up for your interview (that I never made!!!) we were assuming you were no longer interested in the position (which I never applied for!!!). I am sorry for he disappointing news”. Yes I am basing my review on this and not actually attending the academy itself... highly do not recommend
