Things have changed rapidly over the last 100 years in our culture yet very few martial arts have grown with the times. Came to visit for a couple classes recently. Excellent quality of people training there. Had the pleasure of witnessing the head coach not only teaching jiujitsu but giving upper belts teaching experience. Everyone made me feel welcome and I learned a great deal just from a couple days training there. Great experience. Thanks!

I have been going to Tim Burrill BJJ for a couple of years now. I am very impressed with the level of instruction and respect in the Dojo. When I first started, Jimmy welcomed me into his beginner class and made sure that I had a very good experience. Jimmy is a great instructor. I have also worked with Gabe and DSP, both excellent instructors. I am older and have some limitations. I enjoy the instruction and the grappling. I am not there to get hurt, but to train and get better. The Dojo has a family feeling to it. The people are very respectful, encouraging and some of the finest that I have

The best place to train Brazilian jiu jitsu in Rhode Island. One of the premier gyms in New England. The quality of instruction and the technical quality of the practicioners is absolutely superb. Pro fighters and competitors and regular folk of all ages train hard and learn together here. The instructors are killers on the mat, but also wonderful, gentle people.

I train here 2-3 times per week (for the past 4 years) with Black Belt Coaches Tim Burrill and Jimmy Connor. They are beyond Phenomenal in both their knowledge and their ability to share that with the students. They are both kind, friendly but yet serious and dedicated to the continuation of sharing this art with others. I have visited several other gyms both locally and nationally and I'm confident in testifying to the fact that I train at one of the best gyms in the country. I am proud to continue training here and welcome all of you to come in and give Jiu Jitsu a try.

I've been attending Tim Burrill's Bjj for over a year and it's been the greatest experience of my life. The teachers are very informative, encouraging, as well as entertaining. The students are respectful and friendly to everyone. The school is well kept and cleaned every night. Overall it's been nothing but a great school and community of great people. I would encourage any one interested to attend a class, you won't regret it.

What makes Tim such a great teacher is how he breaks his lessons down to simple concepts - concepts that can be applied not just to the lesson, but to other scenarios when you roll. These lessons are often eye-opening in the best way.
What also makes Tim Burrill BJJ so great are the people that attend it. This school cultivates a high level of skill and a friendly, positive culture.

Tim & Jimmy provide the highest level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in a clean, positive and safe environment. This school came highly recommended to me by many people and within minutes of arriving I knew there was no other place to learn BJJ. All the great things you've heard about this place are not exaggerated it is that high level, positive, clean and most of all fun. I can not say enough good things about Tim, Jimmy, the space and every person that trains there.

Best BJJ school in RI! Tim is an awesome instructor, a very intelligent teacher. The school is spacious and clean. It offers classes in the mornings afternoons and nights which is also very great for fitting into your schedule. If your around the area do not hesitate to stop by and try a class for yourself.
