I always say the healing is not just my work, it's teamwork. I work together with patients to improve their quality of life through wellness practices as well as the healing abilities of Chinese medicine. Ryoko Ito's path to healing was an instinctual one. Born and raised in Japan with a natural affinity for Chinese medicine, holistic healing has always been her way of life.
Acupuncture utilizes the use of thin needles to activate the body's natural healing abilities by allowing for proper energy or qi flow. By placing the needles in specific areas of the body, ailments can be healed by optimizing circulation and energy flow.

Needle pain is minimal and uncommon for patients, who often describe the sensation of needle insertion as an energy surge that tingles or becomes warm as it makes initial contact with the acupoints intended to treat specific conditions associated with your specialized treatment plan.Needles used for acupuncture are thinner than those used for medical use as they are as thin as a strand of hair.
The length of a course of treatment varies by client, and depends on the condition being treated. Some clients come once or twice a week for 3-5 weeks to treat a specific condition. Others continue to come for support with long-term health maintenance, or because they find regular treatments beneficial: once a week.
