Services
Our mission: Rice Creek Animal Hospital (RCAH) is a family owned, community based, veterinary hospital dedicated to fostering the human-animal bond by providing pets and their families with knowledged, capable, and loving care with an emphasis on creating a well informed client who takes an active and informed role in their pet's care.
Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Rice Creek Animal Hospital in Lino Lakes, MN! We're pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets! Although born in Connecticut, Dr. Brian Hansen has considered himself a Minnesota transplant since he stepped foot in the "land of lakes" while visiting veterinary schools.
At Rice Creek Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today. Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible.
There is no such thing as risk-free anesthesia, however we make it our priority to keep that risk as low as possible. We do this by developing an individual anesthetic plan for each of our patients. This will typically include a premedication to help relax your pet before the procedure, as well as a smooth induction into general anesthesia.
Although at first glance it may seem like cleaning your pet's teeth is little more than a costly attempt to get rid of the dog breath that tackles you with every kiss from your four legged friend, yet nothing could be farther from the truth. As it turns out, not only is dental health important for our pets comfort and quality of life, it is important for their overall health.

This is our first visit to this clinic, what a wonderful and caring experience for our little Dachshund Bella. Our regular vet could not get us in for 2 weeks, so we decided to try Rice Creek (they got us in same day) and we're glad they were able to get us in.
They thought she may have tweeked a muscle (while chasing squirrel's of coarse), so they gave her a prescription to treat her symptoms, after 4 days of rest we are glad to have her back to being her sunny self again.
I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who has a pet, This is our New Clinic for our pup!!!

I was refured to Rice Creek Animal Hospital by the human society where I got my wonderful dog Eddie. I made a appointment and took Eddie there. I went in and immediately was greeted by one of the staff. We got his weight and I gave them Eddie's stool sample. Then Eddie and I were escorted to the exam room where another staff member asked some questions about Eddie. We were treated with respect they are so knowledgeable about everything. Then the doctor came in then gave me the results of his stool sample and gave me some medication to help clear up a problem that they found. I was shocked how fast

I called Rice Creek Animal Hospital at 4:55 on the Friday of a holiday weekend. My cats paw was about twice the size it should have been. I was freaking out, as I really didn’t want to have to bring her to an ER vet. When I called in a panic, they calmly asked me how far away I was and said if I left right then, they’d get me in. The entire staff there was absolutely amazing. From the amazing vet tech to the vet herself, 10/10 stars from me. I’ll admit I haven’t brought them to the vet as often as I should, so I was so nervous on how my little girl would do. The staff was so great with

The nicest staff you could ever imagine! My dog has had a few vets and this is our new vet, and unlike the other places she is not nervous going in. It has a whole different vibe, and the animals aren't as scared as the other clinics I have visited. Staff seems to truly care. In emergencies they make time to help instead of telling you to go to urgent care and pay-up. So glad we found our new vet!
