Sutton Clinical Service
If you are depressed, sleep deprived, anxious, have panic attacks, angry or simply unable to form meaningful relationships or deal with everyday situations, you may need the assistance of a professional mental health professional. At Sutton Counseling we focus on the root causes of the issues affecting you in order to offer real solutions.

We offer individual, family and group therapy, psychological assessments, and treatments that focus on resolving root causes. Your life can be fulfilling and happy. Trauma comes in many forms, including violence, illness, abuse, death, accidents or other life-altering events. If you have experienced significant trauma, it can often lead to common mental health issues and an inability to effectively cope.
Services
Over the past many years I have enjoyed working with DCFS, DWS, and private clients. I especially like helping relieve the effects of trauma that so many people suffer from. I am certified in the trauma interventions of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Life can be complicated by stress and unexpected challenges. Many of us feel anxious, depressed, confused, or overwhelmed and need help dealing with feelings and problems that seem beyond our control. We may find help from friends, family, or significant others, but often help is needed from a trained professional.
Your relationship with your partner is one that you care deeply about. You want to make it work, and you are invested in improving your role as a partner and parent. A healthy relationship requires work and commitment. Yet, at times this relationship is derailed by conflict and discord that you can't seem to change, even when both partners are committed to making it work.
Neurofeedback, sometimes known as EEG biofeedback or neurotherapy, is a type of therapeutic treatment for your brain. It treats the dysregulated brain wave activity that is associated with conditions such as ADHD/ADD, learning disabilities, autism, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, pain and other conditions.
The proliferation of trauma seen daily in the media is a forceful reminder that mental health services and therapy need to be prioritized, accessible services in our communities.

Whether you are a youth witnessing fatal gun violence, a first responder suffering depression or a mother experiencing a traumatic loss after being separated from her child, we have all seen how traumatic events can affect a person's ability to enjoy a healthy, happy life.

We are using neurotherapy to add more "tools" to my daughters tool box as she is about to transition to junior high. Fascinating process and getting excellent results with improvement in her anxiety each visit. Couldn't be happier with the therapist, staff and results. Exceptional experience and have recommended it to others!
