LeafCrest Counseling
My name is Maryanne McFarland, and my goal as a counselor is to create a supportive environment in which my clients can explore their emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit their full potential. I offer a judgment-free zone within the walls of my office, and I help you find real-life solutions to problems that can seem overwhelming.

I am an EMDR provider. We have offices in Ogden and in Davis County, and we are SASSI qualified. My name is Jennifer Johnson. I am family-oriented and have a strong anchor and relationship with my husband, four daughters and two grandchildren. I have experienced some of my own trials and life challenges, which I feel assist me in building an empathetic rapport with clients.

Stress and anxiety are related, but often confused. Stress is tension associated with a specific event (e.g. a test or a job), while anxiety is a non-specific worry about the future. To find relief, people with anxiety may turn to repetitive routines, preoccupations, or addictions. The loss of a loved one can be a difficult time.

I began seeing Maryanne last December. I've had a few sessions with her so far this year but yesterday morning I woke up to an alert from my bank for incurring an overdraft fee of $35. I saw that Maryanne had charged me $87 out of nowhere, with no notice or explanation so I reached out to see what happened as I assumed it was just a mistake; a mistake that now left me in the red.
When I reached out, her receptionist informed me that it was an outstanding balance due to my deductible restarting for the year that they hadn't been charging me for during my last 3 appointments. So, they made several

Worst experience. I don’t know how Maryann is a counselor. Be aware, a bad counselor can cause you more harm than good. Look for an experience professional and run from this one.

My employers employee assistance program paid for the first six visits with this Maryann for my stepson. After that my insurance would have picked it up and I would have had a copay. My stepson went to three visits and then we were informed that there was a client emergency and they had to cancel our next session. She told us she would call us and reschedule. So, we waited. After six weeks of hearing nothing I finally decided to contact them and was told that our authorization expires in three weeks and they had no open sessions before then. My question is, how did they forget about us? Why didn’t

Kept pushing me to do EMDR when I wasn't comfortable with it. Also after I stopped seeing her, kept getting charges to my checking account without any warning whatsoever as opposed to getting a bill in the mail like is normal and accepted. The EMDR thing wasn't cool, but having money withdrawn from my account, especially with no warning, is nasty and leads to things like my card getting declined when I try to pay for doctor's appointments. Needing to change my account and card # now because of that. Send a bill in the mail like everyone else, or at least give warning. Would give 0 stars if I could

She has been good for me & my sister. She's understanding & practical. She explains theories & reasons but for doing what she feels is best. She knows her stuff & has different approaches like the EMDR which gives me more hope that recovery is possible.
