Dr. Melanie Duong has been creating beautiful smiles since 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama where she ranked in the top ten of her class. We provide a full spectrum of orthodontic treatments for adults and adolescents, from minor tooth movement to correct spacing, crowding, and the thumb sucking habit, to major skeletal discrepancies which may require extraction or orthognathic surgery.

Your first visit to our orthodontic office is an exciting time! It's a chance for us to get acquainted, and for you to learn about the treatments and services we offer. When you walk in the door, you may notice that our office looks similar to your regular dentist's office; what we do here, however, is a little different.
Orthodontists are dental specialists who diagnose and treat problems with the position, alignment or spacing of the teeth, and related irregularities in the face and the jaw. We use a number of special treatments, including braces and other oral appliances, to correct these problems. There are two good reasons: aesthetics and function.

Dr. Duong is the best! She is very knowledgeable, thorough and provides consistent care. Both of my daughters had braces through Dr. Duong. What I loved about her is that she is very experienced, does a thorough exam and provides a detailed plan that works. She is friendly but professional. Her staff is very nice and accommodating as well.

The team at Sun orthodontics is amazing!! I went there 3years ago cause I wasnt happy about my smile and They took the time to explain to me all the options I had and all the cost up front. This was an amazing experience!! The entire staff are very professional and understanding. The entire process I went through was thoroughly explained to me and there were no surprises throughout the entire process. My schedule was pretty crazy and they made sure that all of my sessions evolved around my schedule. Moving teeth in place is a long and patient process, but I could notice progress from the third month.
The office is always clean and they take necessary covid precautions.

Sun Orthodontics is beyond efficient. I love their COVID safety procedures and want to thank them. My daughter has been with them for over a year and loves them. I selected Dr Duong after a couple recommendations from dentists. I had my first consultation with Dr Duong and she was super nice and walked me through all the options after a review of my teeth. She spent enough time with me to get an understanding of what I wanted as an adult and I went with invisiline. I will update as I go through the process but so far I am extremely pleased with Dr Duong and everyone I met on her staff.

I have been a patient for 1 year and I am extremely satisfied with the service that I am receiving. The staff are all friendly and they take good care of their patients. They work around my work schedule. Whenever I am having problems with my braces they are on top of scheduling me to see Dr. Duong as soon as possible. I love that they do their best to know each patient. I know the clinic have a lot of patients but it means a lot whenever they ask how I am doing and how they remember specific things about my school or family. I love going to Sun Orthodontics!

This is a very efficient and well run office. They send you forms to fill out before your actual appointment so it makes the whole process run very smoothly. Raquel in the front office is super nice, friendly, and efficient. Dr. Melanie Duong knows her stuff and is very patient to take the time to explain in detail not just to the parents but also the kids what needs to be done and why. She is conservative in her approach and we appreciate her careful assessment. Highly recommend based on expertise, quality of service of orthodontist as well as her staff, and her fees are also reasonable with flexible

Dr. Melanie Duong of Sun Orthodondics & staff are absolutely top notch! My oldest daughter just wrapped up her treatment & I have to say the difference is incredible.
Dr. Duong is also now treating my 11 yr old & soon my 8 yr old will be in treatment as well. This would not be possible for me elsewhere but Dr. has set up a personal payment plan suited just for our family!
Dr. Is never in a rush & always has time to go over any questions or concerns. The staff is always very friendly and really on top of it! I never have

Dr. Duong and her staff are incredible. My son Tyler had a terrible dental experience about 2 years before we were referred to SunOrtho and im so greatful for the referral as my son has been so excited and comfortable throughout his journey to a better "grill".
I reccomend SunOrtho to everybody i hear looking as she has really helped my son with his confidence since hes been working with her.

Fantastic work. My wife had a pretty bad outlook on her dental health. She felt like there was nothing anyone could do to make her smile pretty. Luckily we shipped around for orthodontists. Dr. Duong explained everything clearly and had an exact approach on how she would treat my wife.
Three years later and I'm absolutely floored by the perfection of my wife's smile. She now smiles and shows her teeth on every picture and loves that her teeth are how something she doesn't have to hide.

I know about this place because my husbands entire family goes here and so did my oldest daughter (she had braces for 14 months her teeth are absolutely perfect and beautiful!) I've gone to multiple places myself (and was not happy with the end results) then after my middle daughters oral surgery last year, she was still left with a third front tooth that should have been removed, I took my child into Melanie to see if she recommends removing it, she expressed concern about its placement and sent it to her oral surgeon to further review it and would get back to us. After writing this review, I wrote a letter with a similar content. In just a couple of days, I received a letter back from Dr. Duong saying that she takes full responsibility for actions of her staff. My financial stress is relieved! This has been plaguing me for such a long time.
Moreover, I appreciate the time she spent looking into my case and honor my request although she may not have known what exactly has been discussed with her secretaries and I.
I sincerely hope that she gets a stable office staff/secretary.
