Stanton Street Yoga
Stanton Street Yoga is a healing sanctuary & Yoga community in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Placing emphasis on personal growth and empowerment, our classes, workshops, and trainings facilitate environments where you can wake up to your true Self, your soul purpose, and an inner happiness that isn't swayed by the external circumstance.

Our intention is to build a community rooted in the deepest spiritual principles so that we can have a vibrant experience of wellness; mind, body, & soul. Syama Masla was raised in a family of Bhakti yogis and is very grateful for her teachers and life long inspirations, Srila Prabhupada & Radhanath Swami.
Services
We know that yoga is more than physical shapes we come into for an hour each day. Yoga is a lifestyle; it's is a path and a process towards Self realization, and eventually God. We hope to share the deeper teachings of yoga in a way that is practical and easily applied.

Strength and flexibility are wonderful, though without tapping into the deeper realms of the soul, we won't find a happiness that lasts beyond the inevitable changing circumstances. If our body is strong but our mind is weak, we wont be experiencing happiness. If our body and mind are strong, but we don't have a connection to our true purpose, we won't feel satisfied.
Whether you are already a yoga teacher, aspire to teach, or simply want to dive deeper into the philosophy, culture, and lifestyle of Yoga, these training programs will take you on a journey into the depths of the Yogic path. Note: Our training offers an unlimited memberships to Stanton Street Yoga for the duration of your course.
Retreat is a place where you pull back from the world, get inspired, become spacious, detox, and find your people. We have a few options for you. It provides an important means of clearing accumulated waste and toxicity from the mind and the tissues, encouraging optimal health. For thousands of years people have traveled to India in search of answers to life's deepest mysteries.
All memberships and class packages have an expiration date and are non-refundable, extendable or transferable from one student to another. Memberships and class packages can only be used for regular scheduled yoga classes excluding special workshops and series. It's a good idea to refrain from eating a large meal about 1-2 hours before taking a yoga class.
Do you ever have one of those days where you just wish someone would just come to your office before your day begins, during your lunch break, or after work? Did you know it's proven that yoga and meditation create a healthier, more positive work environment? We offer on-site classes with one of our teachers who will guide you through whatever it is you might be needing that day.

Such a beautiful and calming place. I really loved the environment here. Petya is a great teacher and makes everyone feel welcome. Mats are included in the cost of class, which is rare and amazing!

Doors locked after 5 p.m. Trains running late? Too bad. You miss class. Traveled all that way? Too bad. This business is open for business when they offer classes yet the lobby and entrance is always closed. So you must find that small window to enter or be locked out.
They have not a shred of evidence showing that a late comer disrupts a yoga class. Does this hypothetical conversation sound logical?
Man: "Honey, how was yoga tonight?"
Woman: "Well I was in downward dog having a great class...but then someone joined the class late...it ruined the class for me. The sound of the soft rubber mat
