Services
Traveling with our pets can sometimes be a difficult task. When you are unable to take your pet along with you, let them stay with the caring staff at Hazel Green Animal Hospital. Our experienced boarding team will care for your pet, just like you do at home. Dogs are exercised daily, and our cats are kept in a separate area of the facility, preventing stress that may be associated with the barking of our dog boarders.
Most people realize how important dental care is for people, but did you know oral health is equally important for pets? Studies show that both dogs and cats need to begin regular dental cleanings as young as one year of age. Without this regular cleaning and brushing, your pet will soon develop a thin layer of bacteria on their teeth and gum line.
Skin issues including irritation and itching are a common problem for our furry friends. Many times, allergies are to blame for skin and ear problems we treat at Hazel Green Animal Hospital. Parasites including fleas, lice, mites and scabies are also a common cause of skin conditions in the northern Alabama area.
At Hazel Green Animal Hospital, we realize that not all pet issues occur during working hours. We are pleased to refer our clients to the Animal Emergency Clinic of North Alabama, Inc. The emergency clinic is located at 2112 South Memorial Parkway S.W., Huntsville, AL 35801. Please contact the Animal Emergency Clinic if your pet has an after-hours emergency.
Are you tired of wrestling with your pet when it's time for a bath? Are you nervous about trimming nails? If you are looking for a bathing option why not come to us for your pet's needs? We offer a convenient solution by maintaining a clean, safe, high-quality facility for both cats and dogs. Our professional and friendly staff will take great care of your pet during their bath.

The entire staff at this location is extremely kind, caring and have the “do whatever it takes” attitude toward helping your families companion. I have called many times to chat with them and they’ve always been the same…fantastic! I have no doubt that if you are looking for a place for your pet, you will be in the best hands at Hazel Green Animal Hospital!!

This is where I have taken all of my pets. Some years ago my Scottie was spayed and she was 1/10th of a pound from the service costing more because of the weight range. I would have never known if they had charged the higher amount so with honesty like that I trust them to be honest about needed care as opposed to "puffed priced" care. So new puppy gets same trusted veteranerian.

They have always been so good to us and our dogs. We had, Marley, a chocolate lab and he loved going because he always got treats. This was Marley’s vet home until he passed away last year😢 We now have Buddy and he has been a few times and they were awesome with him as well! Highly recommend them for a family vet!

A couple years ago my dog was deadly sick. I went to at least 7 other vets and no one would help because it was between paychecks. But then the ladies here saw how bad he was and how upset I was they Immediately began treating him. Thanks to their hard work and long nights my Buddy made a full recovery.
