Services
A funeral or memorial service provides a climate that encourages each person to give and receive emotional support, to share and reflect on a life that has been lived. When you plan a funeral consider adding personal touches that tell of the many aspects of a life that has been lived. Display personal items such as, artwork, awards, collectibles, photos and scrapbooks.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker or medallion.
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

When losing a family member the last thing on the family's mind is being questioned on their decision making. After starting our arrangements with Fredlock, we decided that this was not the right funeral home for us. When going in to sign the paperwork to change funeral homes, we weren't greeted at all, more like directed to go to another door. When going to the other door, we were pointed into the direction of the interior door that we need to go to. The gentleman, I'm assuming that was the owner, read the paper and said sign here. He left the room to get our receipt and change, came back in gave
