Jerry Field is a direct descendant of Richard Field who settled in Valley District in 1774. Richard was a trapper and was murdered by a roving band of Indians in an area called "Valley of the Glades" where Sunny Hill Road is today. His family has remained in the Valley District area for generations.
Jerry, a licensed funeral director, embalmer and pre-need counselor, is a Preston County native and 1986 graduate of West Preston High School. He is a graduate of Fairmont State College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences. He is very active in the community and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those who are in need.
We pride ourselves on the functionality and appearance of our facilities. We are constantly updating and improving our premises and equipment to keep our facility within the highest of professional standards. Whether it is our Chapel, Visitation Rooms, Coffee Lounge, or Reception Facilities, the flexibility of our layout allows us to accommodate a broad range of services.
I am the daughter of Alan "Buck" Taylor - from North Carolina. I am writing this testimonial on behalf of the family. I would like to start by saying to you, Jerry, Jennifer and your staff - - warmest of thank you!

The words "thank you" do not state the depth of the appreciation the family expressed when discussing the experiences we had as you served our family during the difficult time of saying "so long" to the great patriarch of our family, Buck Taylor - he was truly a great hero, leader, servant, Godly man, husband, daddy, grandpa, friend, brother.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.

This place charged my Aunt 3500 and through her daughter in a little black box and put her in a dollar tree bag. They charged her 2100 $ for a viewing and service that SHE DOD NOT RECEIVE NOR EVEN GOT AND SHE DID NOT GET THE PAMPHLET PAPER FOR HER EITHER I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL !! YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE TO MAKE YOUR POCKETS FULL

I cannot say enough about the staff at Field funeral home. If you want your loved one to be laid to rest in the most pleasant professional manner possible this is the place to go. What should have been the hardest part turned out to be the most pleasant and easiest thing to deal with because of their professionalism and kindness. They are all caring and wonderful people and Denise is AMAZING! Mom looked BEAUTIFUL and I thank them for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.
