I went here to see the Grand Canyon and I got to say it is a very nice place everything was clean the breakfast was a buffet and it was like every other hotel breakfast and the room was also very nice but the only thing I have to say is when I was in the shower I saw these random little green or yellow spots I forgot and that was weird but everything else was fine.

They ran out of ice.

They ran out of water.

They ran out of food.

Check in took more than an hour.

All of this would be somewhat understandable if Christmas happened on a random day, but I'm pretty sure it happens on the same day every year.

If you are planning on bringing your family to ride the Polar Express, I highly recommend you stay somewhere else. At the very least, do not rely on the buffet. On Christmas eve we were not sat until nearly 9:00pm and by that time they had run out of most food items. It was seriously sad. I felt awful for the hostess, who was doing her best to apologize

Overall the hotel was amazing. We went for the polar express train ride and everyone had a blast. Check in was great and huge shout out to Brenda who was such a fun breath of fresh air upon check in. We purchased the package that included dinner and breakfast- there were plenty of options and the food was decent for a buffet. The only downside was the lady that followed everyone around with hand sanitizer constantly making you reapply, our hands were chapped and smelled like tequila when we left. I think they can chill on the hand sanitizer a bit otherwise we had a great time.

Nice clean place. The lady in the office ( sorry I forgot her name, she's absolutely awesome) took care of my reservation and no issues other than we had no water. Next morning it was frozen, expected, but they do have the frostless faucets. Other then that it was a nice place to stay. Definitely stay again.

Checked in just 5 days before Christmas. Wanted to give my family a great experience with the Polar Express train and the hotel. Booked three rooms. We arrived early, around 11 am. Attempted to check in then and was told we could not check in until 2;30 pm. So we decided to go the Grand Canyon. Around 3 pm another member of our party arrived and attempted to check in for all of our rooms. She was informed that she could only check into the room that had her name on it, since I was the one who booked all rooms. We arrived backed to the hotel just after 4 pm. Stood in line for 45 minutes

We booked a suite to sleep three. The two beds were fine but, the sofa bed mattress was worn out. You could feel every spring and it was concave. We called down for a roll away bed and found it sitting outside our door. it was just as bad. All worn with every spring felt. It made for a very uncomfortable night. On top of that we were staying for 2 nights and found out there was no maid service for overnight stays. No coffee pods replenished and no clean towels. We had to ask reception for coffee pods. The reason was "because of covid". However, the hot tub was overflowing with a dozen

RACIST hotel and Xanterra staff in positions of authority in reservations and behind the counter!!!

A couple years ago, we began and ended our visit to the Grand Canyon at the Grand Canyon Railroad Hotel in Williams. The first night we were given a room where the shower curtain was so dirty it stunk and had a SCUMMY residue along the lower portion of the panel. We returned to the hotel 2 days later after a rail trip to the Grand Canyon. The second night we were given a room that literally REEKED of mildew and strong musty odor. Also, I broke out in an itchy rash around my ankles afterwards.

Two star give to the location to the train ride, the Christmas ambiance and the friendly staff. Other wise, the hotel itself is overpriced and 100% not worth it. The room we paid for is over $400/night, which is pretty much a 4 star hotel standard on average.

The room smells filthy the moment you get in. It is the smell you hate as a traveler and do not want to stay in the room for over five minute.

Pillows are saggy, not supportive, so does the bed.

There is no complimentary bottled water in the room, no tea bags, which are pretty much the standard for any 3 star hotels above, the only

I have to say that this hotel is well worth the $$$. It is very fancy considering the other motels in the area, bleh.

We booked a suite for our 4 night stay, upon on our arrival to the hotel, we could see how nice the property was, but this was nothing upon our entrance to the check in area, we were met by a HUMUNGOUS fireplace, so beautiful and very rustic theme.

We checked in and headed to our suite, we were totally surprised in a good way, the room had a luxurious restroom, with marble, very nice tile floors, fancy toilet and a very HOT shower with good pressure and even provided body wash

Giving this place a 4 solely because of the nice general mgr, can't remember her name now; but she comped us our room as we had an issue with our luggage being misplaced and not making it to our room, among other things. She was wonderful, I wish we could have gotten her card. She truly turned things around for us and made us want to come back. This hotel could be really great if they made the beds a little more comfy and got rid of the buffet dining hall. Just put a regular restaurant in. A lot of people don't eat cheap buffet food anymore (certainly not us, so we were refunded our

What a great hotel!! Great amenities as well. Enjoyed our quick stay and will recommend to others. Friendly staff.

Only downsides: bed not the mosssssst comfortable but sleepable, also no ATMs in the hotel itself. Both gift shop ATMs were out of order as well, nobody offered a cash back option so we were forced to hunt down an ATM in town. Understandable due to covid and what not, but also if ATMs are down, maybe offer cash back as an option to the guests who've been traveling/sightseeing all day. This being said, don't be like me..BRING CASH for tips/etc. :)

We were disappointed with our stay here. The beds were horrible and all broken down on one side and felt like the springs were broken. Our refrigerator didn't work and they had to come out to fix it. There is no safe. There were no pens or paper in the desk. For the price it should have come with breakfast included. Additionally, the drapes in the room had large Swastikas on the pattern which was concerning. We checked out the menu in Spencer's Pub and decided to pass and instead had a lovely meal in town.
On the plus side, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location

If you absolutely want to do the train ride to the canyon then I guess this is your best of not so good options, otherwise you may want to consider driving on.

First, lets get to the non hotel matter. Williams is a run down, beaten up by the economy town with very little to do. The restaurants are at the very best just Ok, the shops sans one or two are shlocky and a waste of time. A second matter is that if you sleep on the lighter side (like I do) then you have a problem. Every flippin' day around 6am, the BNSF freight train comes through Williams right by the hotel and blasts his whistle

We visited this hotel for a single night 1/30/2020 stay during our Polar Express adventure. We'd never done this and since Santa gave it to the family as a gift to visit him we made the trek from Las Vegas NV. We arrived and were greeted very kindly by a lovely hotel staff (all of which were abiding by local COVID guidelines). The hotel was decorated for the Christmas holiday and it made the experience all that much more whimsical for my littles. The room accommodation's were fine, but the gym was closed although being told it was open over the phone prior to our trip. We also decided

I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where literally EVERY single employee I encountered seemed to genuinely love their job! We had the most amazing customer service during our stay when we went for the Polar Express experience a few weeks ago. The gift shop/train depot staff was amazing and so were the staff at the bar and the restaurant too! The food was really good and the hotel was beautiful, especially all decorated for Christmas. Our room on the first floor was clean and very comfortable. We would absolutely recommend the hotel and overall entire Polar Express experience, and

Okay prepare yourself for a long review about the good and bad things regarding this hotel.

Lobby and room decor:
So the lobby is absolutely beautiful! The rooms have a very cute rustic classic feel to it. I really enjoyed the lobby and the rooms layout! The rooms were big enough to accommodate bigger families. Also with how the hotel is organized, everything is close by!

Restaurant:
They do have a restaurant that I tried called the Fred Harvey Restaurant. I will leave a more detailed review of the restaurant on their yelp page. For the price of the meal it is worth it, but it won't blow
