Tried the Santa Ana plate that came w an enchilada and fajita w rice and beans. Also ordered the chips and queso. I really like the queso here. Some of the chips were a little chewy and tasted like they weren’t fried enough or not fried correctly. Cheese Enchilada was ok. Next time I’m going to see if they have ranchero beans. Rice was very good and the fajitas were this time as well. I go often and find the fajitas can vary in quality each time I go. I have a good experience most times.

The first time I ordered from this restaurant, I was given a coupon for a free taco with my order. Upon my second time ordering, they were reluctant to honor the coupon. They asked who I got it from, why it wasn't signed, etc. It seemed like it was a problem to them that I wanted to use the coupon they gave me. The whole interaction felt very shady. Poor customer service. Food is decent.

I am a social studies teacher and this is the second year that I have come to Poblano's Restaurant with my seventh grade students as a part of our field trip to the Alamo and San Fernando Cathedral. It's a two-hour drive for us, but we make this trip every year and it's so worth it. I normally aim for an Alamo tour late morning; we park at the Rivercenter Mall, walk to San Fernando Cathedral, then walk back in time for the Alamo tour. Usually the kids are starving by the time the tour is over. Now that we make the stop at Poblano's for breakfast tacos while at the Cathedral

This restaurant is tucked across the street from the courthouse making it convenient to stop for lunch for those that work in the courthouse or the construction crews. Because of this be aware the restaurant is very busy between 11:45-12:30.
Stopped in today and ordered the Enchiladas Mole Plate, no beans , double rice . It came with two chicken enchiladas covered in Mole Sauce.
Order came out quickly and was VERY hot. Enchiladas were on the smaller side and mole sauce tasted as if was from a can. If it was homemade it had to have been a few days old. I do give credit the chicken was shredded

Placed a to go order through Uber and when I received it the food was all over the place. Instead of them bagging it in one or 2 plastic bags, they put the plastic bags inside a larger brown carry bag and had the stacked on top of each other with one side of the bag empty s when you grab it everything falls to the other side. There was nothing placed next to the to go boxes to keep them from toppling over during transport. Tried to complain to Uber they tell me to call the restaurant the manager on duty was rude and told me to call Uber then takes my info down and says he will call Uber then call

My family came in to eat for a late breakfast/early lunch on July 4th. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant smelled amazing. I tried the barbacoa taco and chorizo and egg taco. The tacos were packed full and filling. My daughter enjoyed her chicken fajita taco, and my wife had the Carne asasda. She liked that it had some kick to it. Lastly, we shared a big bowl of fideo. It taste just like my grandmother's. The portions and value were excellent. Also, the service was exceptional! Marco came to see if we enjoyed the meal. He was very generous! He explained how everything was made from scratch

Solid Tex Mex with fast, friendly service. The enchiladas verdes were great. You need to remember to order chips and salsa if you want them - they're not included. Outdoor seating is only high tables with two chairs and one low table. The courtyard is way nicer than the atmosphere inside but the table situation is a bit awkward.

Fresh home style breakfast tacos were wonderful for our take out breakfast. I failed to get any pictures. I had potatoes mexicale which was very tasty smd lots of potatoes in like rancho sauce with onions & bell pepper. Also I had bean and bacon..good flavor, I just couldn't eat it all because I was full. My hubby had carne guisada which he said was delicious and had the best whole beans in it. He also had Barbacoa which he also enjoyed a lot. Hot sauce was flavorful as hot...just like he likes it. Flour tortillas were light fluffy and very fresh. We will be back when it the

Awesome little Mexican restaurant that was very close to where we were staying. It is right next door to the cathedral in the church's courtyard.
Upon entering, you are warmly greeted and feel like family coming over for Sunday brunch. Their breakfast menu runs until 2:00 p.m. if you are feeling breakfast tacos. Lots of choices for fillings - eggs, chicken, beef, carnitas, chorizo, veggies, potato, etc. Their lunch menus consist of enchiladas, burritos, salads, and homemade chips and salsa.
We decided to try their egg and chorizo tacos, poblano salad with steak, and a side order of chips

It's hard to find the entrance, so let me help you out. There's signage on the Dolorosa street side, but there's no entrance from there. You have to walk into Main Plaza and then go down the abbey on the left side of San Fernando cathedral. No signage; look for a door with a sign hanging over it that just says "cafe."
It's not a bad place to eat. Enchilada verdes with rice and beans was $7.59. The rice and beans were good, but the enchiladas were lacking a bit. Not terrible mind you, they were just missing a little something-something.
