Ray is wonderful. We had to wait a little extra time for the medical examiner but I really appreciate the professional, caring attitude Advent showed my family. I was able to handle the sudden death of my husband with a feeling of ease and comfort. The staff and physical facility allowed me and and my family to host our visitors as if we were in our own home.

This funeral home was everything I needed in a truly terribly time. They were so efficient, so professional, and so easy to work with, I cannot recommend them enough. Advent ran the funeral services smoothly when my mom's time came to pass. We also used them when my dad passed away a few years ago. Jeff Price has literally been a rock for me and my family during this difficult time of losing our dad. He has gently and compassionately guided us through every step of the way with all of the red tape involved in getting dad buried at Arlington National Cemetery. I don't know how we could have ever done this without him. We have never felt pressured by him to purchase product outside our means and he has always treated us with respect and empathy. He is prompt in contacting us with updates and has the best sense of humor which is SO needed through all of this sadness. I can't sing his praised

Everyone was kind and helpful. Matthew did a great job and so did Jaimie (?) I believe that is his name the day of the funeral by accommodating us in what we wanted considering the rain. You also did an excellent job with my father. We were going to do a closed casket but because you made my dad look great we decided to keep it open for our family and guest. My father died very unexpectedly and fairly young. I had initially gone with another funeral home that had very good reviews and was near my house. They were awful - not comforting, unhelpful. I was left to do all the complex legwork myself. So I fired them and called Advent upon a recommendation of a friend. Hardly 30 seconds into my phone call with Jeff I was already so much more at ease. My dad’s case was pretty complicated because Montgomery County police really bungled the whole thing. I worked with Jeff and Dana to honor my grandmother's life and remembrance. Jeff was compassionate and kind during the entire process. Not once did I feel as if Jeff was trying to upsell or be advantageous, but to the contrary, he was empathetic and delicate when discussing arrangements. These folks were SO good, and easy to deal with. Competent, gracious, polite, helfpul, tactful, accommodating, pleasant, just an easy-to-deal-with business during a very hard time for my family in a recent loss. I recommend these guys very highly for all your funeral services needs. And the prices are still reasonable, too. They make the best of a very hard time for families.

Funerals are never an easy event to plan, especially when the death was completely unexpected. I compared pricing and services of a couple different Funeral Homes in the area before deciding on Advent. I live out of the area, but needed to plan the funeral services for my mother who lived in the area. The entire experience was straightforward and painless. Matt took care of everything I needed and I never once felt like I was being pressured or being pitched expensive or unnecessary items. Advent's services were professional and on point for our multi-member family. An out-of-town daughter did the research and conversations and specific communicating with Advent. We appreciate their experience and willingness to provide a superlative customer experience. After Advent returned our relative's urn, ashes and folded American flag to me, we waited 10 months for the Arlington Cemetery service to be scheduled. I lost track of the flag in the intervening months. Advent is replacing it, no charge. Anything they can do to make this emotional time better for you, they will do.

Based on great reviews, and reasonable prices, we decided to use Advent Funeral Services to prepay for my mother's funeral. Her health had been in a state of decline for years, due to Alzheimer's. We wanted a nice but fairly basic family funeral, and didn't want to be pressured into buying more than we needed. I was very happy with the choices and options provided by Advent Funeral Services. There was absolutely no pressure, and the prices were much better than another funeral home we were considering.

Funerals are extremely emotional not only due to your love for the deceased but due to the family relationships which can be strained. In our case that was very true. Advent personnel went out of their way to walk us through the steps to make it a perfect funeral to honor our Mother and to be sure everyone's wishes were listened to and that all costs were clearly understood. Charles, Richard, Dana, Wayne and Matt were all wonderful to work with and all friendly and caring. We highly recommend Advent Funeral Services.

At the first funeral home we were using, had trouble finding a casket that fit with the wishes of our deceased family member. We came to Advent to see if they had other options, and Matthew spent the better part of an hour showing us choices in other catalogs, and we ended up finding a perfect choice. He had us order it through our original funeral home, and billed us nothing despite us asking to compensate him for his time. A true gentleman. We recommend Advent and Matthew highly.

I have been fortunate to know and be a frequent customer of Advent. They brought much relief to my family after we checked with many other service providers. We were able to customize services that fit the needs of two family members on different occasions, and being able to plan and prepare prior to death events was valuable beyond belief. All I had to do was make a phone call and Advent took care of everything at the nursing home (2001) in one case, and hospital (2003) in the other. Now I find myself in need of planning for other family members and I'm glad I have kept Advent in my phone

It's odd to write a review for a funeral home, but I believe Advent deserves every star I gave them. They are professional, caring, and willing to go above and beyond. This is one of the few family run businesses left in the area, and I highly recommend them to any corporate funeral home around here. They truly care about families, and that's exactly what you need when you lose a loved one.
