I had just moved to Cypress from Austin and was on my way back from visiting my Mom as our family dog passed. I had noticed a funny smell but thought it was the jeep in front of me so I didn’t think of anything till I couldn’t see out of my rear window and then my oil light came on and I turned right into Quick Trip and sure enough oil was everywhere ugh. I just walked out of this place with my girlfriend and am very dissatisfied. We were told over the phone a diagnostic would be free of charge if she brought in her vehicle. We brought it in the vehicle, got it diagnosed, then we're charged 50 dollars to be told we need 2 new tires. I told the "manager" that we were told it would be free by the guy on the phone and the response was "he's not here now and won't be back for almost a week" so sorry but we are charging you. Wow. I have owned businesses my entire life and I always back my employees mistakes. Not tell

This place was a life saver! I had some car issues driving through Elgin and stopped by the closest mechanic I could find on Google. I am so thankful and lucky that it was Friendly's! My husband & I were evacuating from Galveston to Austin with our 1-yr old son during Hurricane Laura. On the way back after the storm passed, our car started shaking really bad & wouldn't accelerate even though my husband was flooring it. I changed to Friendly's from another local Auto Repair, and I'm glad I did. They kept both my budget and needs in repairing my vehicle. They did a better, faster and less expensive repair job than the other guys. Not only that, but I was shocked to find they had vacuumed and straightened the interior, front and back at no extra charge.
I rarely give a reference, because I know that I'm putting my name as to the quality of the company or person, but in this case, I fully and completely give Friendly's my full reference, they have earned it and deserve it.

If I could describe the service I received here in two words, it would be kind and accommodating! I kept hearing strange noises from my brakes, which Friendly's assessed quickly and were able to fix in less than 2 days of my dropping the car off!
Not only were they efficient, but Friendly's allowed me to leave and pick up the car without having to shift my work hours which collided with their opening hours. All contact I had was over Yelp, text, and call - all of which was so kind and professional! I can't think of anything bad to say about them - they even vacuum your car for you

I came here on a recommendation from my auto body shop and these people are so nice! It was easy to make an appointment online to get my oil changed. When I arrived, I asked if I'd be able to add on a tire rotation (you can't add both online with their reservation system) and they were nice enough to do that, too. They vacuum your car when they're done and that was honestly the greatest thing ever for me (hate doing that myself). I was in and out in 45 minutes, which was a nice change of pace. They charge about the same as the dealership for the oil and tire rotation together, but

I honestly could write about Friendly's all day. Krystal, Eddy, and Ty are absolute wizards and I would not be on the road without them. I have two 20+ year old cars (a travel camper and an old Jeep) and they are in the shop A. LOT. It's usually something major on them that's going out, but if I ask them to show me how to do something or if it's a repair they think I can do they give me honest, useful advice.

Can't say enough about Friendly's Auto repair im so happy i read reviews and chose to take my vehicle there . Ty was great he explained the process for the brake change . He gave me a quote even told me he would try to save my rotors but I decided to go with new ones so they would wear evenly . Very honest very friendly staff the lady I didn't get her name is a sweetheart they give you advice but they are t pushy . Hands down I would recommend this shop to my family and friends . This place was amazing!! I had a horrible experience at another shop closer to my home and after their quote came in, decided I needed to look around to see if I was being taken advantage of.
I searched here on Yelp and found Friendly's. I immediately noticed the high star reviews and thought, ok, time to see if they live up to those.
Well, they do!! They were great and in the process of all of this, their pricing was $450 LESS than the other shop.
SO happy I found them and trusted my vehicle to them. Highly recommend to others out there.

A few years ago, the AC compressor in my Civic snapped my timing belt. I had it towed to a garage on South Congress, only to be told that it would be $1600 to fix. Eff that. I'm a broke college student; ain't no one got money for that. Just when all hope was lost, I discovered Friendly's Auto Repair. They saved my life.
I explaned my broke-ness, and Krystal did not hesitate to come up with a plan. She suggested that I could take out the AC system all together and just put in a shorter drive belt. That way, I could still get from point A to point B. The Downside: I had no more AC

These guys are AMAZING. Granted they didn't actually do anything with my car but they helped me in a much better way -- the woman at the desk remembered reading about a recall issue with my car so she did some research and found out that I could just bring my car to the dealership and they would fix it FOR FREE!!
She saved me money and time -- will go straight back to them whenever I have another car issue. Good honest people not in it to scam anyone.

Absolutely the most honest auto repair shop I've dealt with.
These guys will shoot you straight for any type of repair and give you a fair estimate on what is needed without overselling you. I had some suspension work done and Firestone quoted me $2200 while the repair here costed around $1000. They do get booked up pretty quick so be prepared to wait a few days.
