During the genetic counseling process, a detailed medical and family history will be taken to provide a personalized assessment of your risk factors. Once a risk assessment is performed, it will be determine whether you are a candidate for genetic testing. If you are, a discussion will ensue of the risks, benefits and limitations of genetic testing as well as a review of your insurance company's coverage criteria.

Five stars all the way. My wife and I used Scott as our genetic counselor after vetting numerous other options. What makes Scott great is how personalized the experience is. You start with a one on one meeting in which he learns about your backgrounds and family history in order to truly understand your upbringing. This helps determine the level of testing needed. After we had our testing done, Scott called us and gave us all of the information on our results, what to be concerned about, what not to be concerned about, and what further testing was needed.
