Not all diamonds are created equal. At Gittelson Jewelers, we select diamonds against our own personal rigid criteria to ensure that only the most beautiful diamonds adorn our customers. These are the globally accepted standards for assessing the quality of a diamond. Only the world's most expertly crafted and beautiful diamonds earn the right to be shown at Gittelson Jewelers.
Diamond clarity is a measure of the purity and rarity of the stone, graded by the visibility of these characteristics under 10-power magnification. A stone is graded as flawless if, under 10-power magnification, no inclusions (internal flaws) and no blemishes (external imperfections) are visible. At Gittelson Jewelers, we try to find the clearest diamonds possible for our customers.
The most important of the 4Cs-cut-refers to how a diamond's facets interact with light. It is determined by symmetry, polish, and proportion. More than any other factor in diamonds, cut determines the beauty of the stone. Gittelson diamonds, from the smallest to the largest of stones, are sourced to exacting standards.
Diamond shape refers to the geometric appearance of a diamond. Every diamond shape has its own attributes and cut specifications, which also play a large factor in the overall look of the stone. Diamond shapes are categorized into two groups: round diamonds and fancy shape diamonds. Round diamonds, also known as round brilliant cuts, are the most traditional diamond shape.

Gene will forever be part of my journey! In 1999 I wanted to propose at midnight on New Years Eve, and was having difficulty affording the ring I wanted. With time running out, I shared my story with Gene, and he personally bought my ring with a contract written on a receipt. I proposed, and 21 years later have an amazing family. Gene's generosity and kindred spirit ensured the crossroad I was at turned into a beautiful path.
