The retaliation on negative reviews earned you guys a one star. Seriously, giving out personal information and just straight up retaliating alone is not professional at all. I don't know if this is on the company or just a select few, but the fact that such retaliation comes with such a comfortable attitude about it just demonstrates what kind of poor management is allowed. Flooding happened, and they did not send someone right away to start drying the house. Maybe a week or two later they finally did something. Then the insurance company came without telling us or NRB and we had to pack things so they could start demolition. The owner made us pay their insurance deductible bc they couldn't afford their insurance but somehow can afford a house. Didn't give a place to stay. They said they were going to fix the house but for two months nothing.

I rented from NRB properties from October 1st 2020 through mid-April 2021. I was employed for a seasonal 10-month position in Puyallup and had accordingly planned for a 10 month lease.
We had bed bugs when we arrived to our new apartment. This was taken care of and paid for by NRB. Still, how did NRB not know about the bed bugs from the leaving tenant? They were lucky I was able to inform them promptly before it caused a unit-wide infestation. I do not believe they treated the unit below us, and I would not be surprised if they ended up with them as bed bugs can travel.

I have been with NRB for a couple years now as a property owner. They are extremely responsive and thorough in what they do. They go the extra mile to vet tenants and minimize the amount of work i have to put into managing my property. I think they have always been fair in dealing with disputes between owners and tenants. I always get an opportunity to veto any actions but almost always trust NRB to handle the situation, whatever it is. Thanks NRB!!!

Stay away from this company. They have great houses but they will take your money!! Keep records of your move out!! Keep record of your move in as well! Take lots of pictures and videos before move in and also on move out. Keep a record of your receipts and communication records with them. If anything, stay away!!! They will take your money!! it… took them a year to fix the heater in the house and we had a leak on the roof twice, all the blinds were broken and we had the worse rat/ants problem in the house. I WOULD NOT recommend this place. I would rather not even give 1 star. Rocky would never call us back or email us each time we inquired about our application status. She said she would let us know if someone else got the home or not but we never heard anything. 30 days later I demanded our application be removed and our money refunded because we were not hearing anything. She then sends us an email a week after that stating they don't have time for our application and she focuses more on pre-approvals. That would of been nice before we wasted our money and an entire month. This place was horrible

Please do not apply here at this “management company”. They are a joke. The bad reviews are true, I took the risk dont be me.
It took over 3 weeks to get a answer on my application. You can call all you want you will just get the run around. Even after hearing back from them it took even longer also a minor detail that shows how little work effort they put in, I get a reply at 4:50pm! Keep in mind they close at 5pm. Saying “received thanks” after two weeks of waiting!!! Busy or not I was the only person in line on the unit I selected.

I'm scared to type this because they tend to be aggressive toward negative comments rather than fixing the issue, but I feel it is important to point out. When dealing with this company, it often feels like anything is more important than helping the tenants. Perhaps that is good for property owners, but outside of April, most NRB employees I have dealt with treat you like you don't matter. I also had them contacting my neighbors for my information and asking them to tell me to contact them after I had already contacted them and given my contact information. First in line for a house FOR A MONTH AND A HALF.
Meanwhile this company collected money from people like you for “background checks”
We waited for a yes or no for over a month and a half all while being led on that we were a shoe-in for this home.
We passed on so many amazing homes because they told us this one was basically ours. Only to drop the bomb a month and a half later that we didn’t pass a check?
SCAM!
We had the same check from the same company they use for several other homes and agencies and passed every single time.

As far a property management we really enjoyed working with Randy he was more then happy to communicate odd hours while we were stationed over seas.
In saying that our selling experience with Sandy was AWFUL. We thought it would be best to go through them with them so we didn't have to break our contract. We called sandy and she said it would be great to go through them and to show how much NRB appreciated us selling with them it was "2.5%. I remember saying amazing I know it's typically 6% around her. She said yes we are much lower. I explained multiple times this is my first time

They are not consistent at all when it comes to helping with maintenance. We moved in over a year ago and everything they said they'd fixed, was NEVER fixed. They never answer back to my emails, but yet they always remind me to pay my rent through email.

I would not recommend NRB to anyone. They are just money hungry. My husband and i just got out of a year lease with them and NEVER again. During the time of our lease i put work order in after work order for… water damage and mold that they tried to paint over from the pervious people that lived in my unit. So i contacted the health department and they were supposed to repair the damages. Instead of repairing them they simply sent someone out to just look at it just to get the health department off of their back and that was it. I have known Randy professionally for many years. I have witnessed him personally step foot into each property that his company represents. I have seen him put the needs of his clients and staff above his own to ensure everyone around him is set for success. We rented from NRB for one year. We consistently had slow response times to the many issues that came up during that year - washer broke, garbage disposal broke, our bedroom developed a leak from the roof and was dripping water and then developed mold. They had someone come out to assess the leak, who recommended doing work to repair this however NRB never followed through on this and we always had to keep a bucket under the leak in case it resumed dripping. Then, on move out, they charged us $875.

I have rented apartments many times before and have never once been charged. They charged $350

All about money will lie and cheat to keep your deposit as they did with me. My 17 year old daughter died and they asked if I wanted to move to a smaller unit. No condolences nothing. Charged me a 125 light cleaning fee apartment left spotless.

Randy called me personally to express his shock and condolences over how his employees and the homeowner treated me. Amazing group. I rented a great apartment in North Tacoma when I moved over from Eastern Washington. They were amazingly helpful and helped make my move and transition over here a bit easier. I only had one issue at my apartment - one of my heaters was not working correctly. I called NRB in the afternoon after work and they had someone out to fix it the very next. I was impressed for sure!

The first year that we rented From NRB was great. We got in super fast got an amazing house and loved the service. Well come December 2018 they tell us that the owner wants to sell the house and when can we be out. Great right before Christmas when our lease is literally up the middle of January. So we decide to stay in NRB and rent a house from them again. Get a house and move in just last weekend. Well we have high expectations when moving in cause that's how we thought NrB was. I can’t say enough good things about NRB property management. From the start they were so helpful, courteous, and kind. At the time I was a single parent and it was so important to me that I find a safe place for my daughter and myself. There are so many amazing homes with NRB and several of them with amazing views.
Randy has really gone above what any company would to make sure that I am happy with everything. I especially appreciate the fact that he wanted to make sure that I found the right place for me.

NRB was an Amazing oulet for renting my home in Tacoma. Awesome downtown life with quick access to water. I was really stressed out, but their strict standards eased those fears quickly. If you are a property owner, keep your sanity and find a different management company. They were great as a smaller company and just lost control as they expanded.

My husband and I stopped using this property management agency after having them manage three of our homes from 2010-2015. We originally signed up with Randy and we were impressed with the 8% fee versus the usual 10% with most other companies and couldn't believe we we were communicating directly with a partner of the business. We actually interfaced with Randy directly and called his cell phone to work out any issues for that

NRB property management company is the best I have ever used. They took care of my property in Milton and I never had a concern with the house, company or the great staff.
They had contacts for a few things I had to fix at the house and handled things. Pricing was great and explained perfectly.

I can not say enough about the owner Randy and his staff. They treat the property like their own and completely transparent on fees, expenses and renters.

You can never get a hold of anyone in the office and when you move out they will try and screw you out of a ton of money! They have 21 days to return your security deposit but you won't get it back because on top of the cleaning deposit you give them they will charge you $500 to change air filters, $450 to clean the carpets you already had cleaned, $350 to change light bulbs that aren't burnt out and god knows what else. When you try and contact them about these issues they never respond or give you some kind of vague response and try and push you off. WROST MANAGEMENT OFFICE IVE EVER

NRB property management has gone above and beyond to make a quick notice deployment go a lot smoother. When moving in, Nash did an excellent job going through the property, documenting all the issues, and all the things that were in good condition. He was thorough and meticulous to ensure that the property was well documented. He went through the property with my wife and I and ensured everything was properly documented.
