I have gone to PFP since they opened. Previously I was a member at LAF in Bakery Square, and PFP was a welcome change from the big corporate gym atmosphere. The personal interaction between the staff and clients makes for a much more welcoming environment. Tom and Brian have brought in a fantastic staff and created a great atmosphere to workout, whether it is through personal training or group fitness.
There is lots of parking available and the location is great. Stop in today to check out PFP! It is a place where you can work on fitness goals that are important to you, not the person next to you. I have been coming to PFP for over three years, and this is the first place where I have felt challenged and seen results.

I really needed a personal trainer and not just another gum membership. PFP is perfect! It is welcoming and accepting of everyone. I never feel out of place. Everyone is friendly. The new massage therapy space is wonderful! I finally found a "gym" that doesn't make me feel awkward or uncomfortable...and it is very affordable!

The atmosphere here is one of kindness and friendship. There is a strong sense of community that is very close yet open to new people joining. The coaches are knowledgeable and are able to help people at all skill levels. You never feel belittled or weak. The coaches work with you to become the best you can be. If you want to begin your fitness journey or seek to continue it, definitely come here!

I really think the classes motivate me to exercise. I find it much easier to commit a particular hour of my day to exercise than forcing myself to fit it in at the end of the day. Also, the instructors, to a person, are very knowledge and ensure I push myself each sesion, so I know I'll be getting a good workout each time.

Great spot! Friendly and supportive. Expert trainers, best equipment in town, good classes in a fun environment. I am grateful to have found this intelligent and diverse crew. I’ve been going a little over a year and it’s been amazing to see the changes in my family’s health over the months. All ages, sizes, and kinds of people. Bonuses: Free parking and occasional social events.

PFP is awesome. If you have aesthetic goals they will certainly help you meet them, but that isn't really the focus of most of the people that work out here. Overall this is a very body-positive space. You're much more likely to get feedback on your form or progress in fitness than on your appearance. People of all shapes and sizes work out here and everyone is super welcoming! I have made a lot of progress in my lifts and found a great community to boot.

During college, I had a great support network of friends to go lifting and have fun with. All of those friends graduated and left me with no motivation to go the gym, something that used to be a very fulfilling activity for me. I tried joining a mass gym with the cheapest membership, but it didn't provide any sense of community, a very important… aspect for me.
In PFP Barbell, I have once again found that group of supporters and friends that make me WANT to go to the gym again. The space is welcoming, the people are fun, the coaches are knowledgeable, and the workouts are tough.

Where to start? This place is perfect- clean, spacious, and welcoming. The trainers are amazing- knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The small, structured classes are, as I quickly learned, exactly what I needed to be motivated and push myself harder and more consistently than I ever could have imagined. I have been wasting money for half my… lifetime “donating” to gym memberships and dreading every second spent “exercising” with no results. PFP provides a free personal assessment, a free first class, and several affordable options to get started. I’ve never

I love this gym. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and the classes are fun and challenging. Because classes are small, there instructors take a lot of time, particularly in weightlifting classes, explaining proper form and keeping an eye on everyone. This is huge: I've spent a lot of time winging it on weightlifting machines and having no idea if I was doing the right things.

I've been going to classes for about a year now, and that's probably the longest I've ever committed to a fitness routine. Jill is the absolute best! The staff challenges you and encourages you to do 5 more reps, 5 more pounds, 5 more seconds.... But it's never too much. Even in the class settings, they get to know you well enough that it feels like a personalized training. Whether you're a regular weightlifter or barely workout, this is an amazing place to be!
