For the last 23 years, his family has owned and operated Saigon Bangkok, a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant.

Prior to settling on his current location, a building Truong said he purchased in foreclosure, Truong looked at other properties in the Southtowns, including the former Titan's Steakhouse, which was ultimately taken over by another ethnic chain with roots in the Northtowns, La Tolteca. In the end, the opportunity to purchase a building versus leasing space made more sense to him.
