Been looking for a hair salon for the longest and found it! Just moved from Boston to Alameda in August and been on a hunt for a good hair spot. I got a long layered haircut with face framing pieces and I love how clean and neat the place is. Everyone are required to wear masks. Got my hair shampooed and conditioned. Lauren was super nice and explained step by step of what she was going to do and what the reason was. She also checked with me beforehand how much length I actually wanted off. I never had that experience before where the hairstylist made sure we agreed on that we see the same length

I checked this place out on word of mouth recommendation and saw that they did men's cuts so I gave it a shot. I had shoulder length hair but typically men's long hair is cut/styled differently than women's. But from the other reviews and quality it seemed like they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, this did not turn out to be the case.
I showed photos of what I wanted and the stylist seemed confident she could do it. However, when she was cleaning up my side burns to (presumably) work better with my hair she instead shaved it close to the skin. I couldn't even see

Possibly the best salon experience I've ever had. Went in with vague ideas after not paying attention to my hair for 2+ years, and Lauren did exactly what I didn't even know I wanted--she's truly an artist! She took great care to explain what she was doing and why which made me feel at ease, and was always checking to make sure I was comfortable. I feel rejuvenated! I will 100% be coming back and also recommending this salon.

I've been going to Collette for about 6 months now and was lucky to find her - Decided during quarantine to dye my hair for the first time and went with a bleach and tone to get to a silver grey. Go big or go home, right? Honestly, my hair feels softer and better than it did before and I've gotten really good home care recommendations to keep it that way. Collette took her time bleaching my hair to not damage it and keep it as healthy as possible. On top of that, she's very personable and it's a fun experience :)

Got my pandemic haircut here and I'm very pleased with the result - chopped off over 4 inches and styled a nice modern French bob. Colette took the time to ask me about my preferences and concerns, and was efficient in communicating COVID safety precautions (e.g. when to move to where after sanitizing).
The atmosphere was very relaxed and energic; you can tell Lauren and Colette love what they do and put a lot of love into the place.
Bonus: There is a dog who likes to be pet.

I got my hair done with Lauren and i could not be happier with my decision! To start off she color corrected the hot mess I walked in with and we talked about my hair goals. She was very thorough and made sure I understood the process and what it consisted off. I wanted hair extensions so once the day of application came the whole process was super smooth and painless. The extensions themselves feel really good quality and they're extremely lightweight and blend! Again I cannot recommend Lauren enough. She really listened to my goals and transformed my hair! I recently had my hair cut by Colette. I was rocking Pretty gnarly pandemic hair and Colette worked her magic and brought my hair back to life. She had a great eye for what I wanted to achieve with my cut and executed the cut perfectly. I wasn't ready for a long color session that day so she also did a gloss and my hair looked completely revived. The salon is very cute and inviting with lovely decor. The owners dog Bella hangs out there and is just the sweetest cutest pup. Couldn't ask for a better salon experience !

I got a DREAMY haircut from Collette - truly amazing. My hair hadn't been touched in a year (thanks #pandy) and I've got CURLS. She was delightful and VERY good with curls. The entire experience was smooth and safe, it's a really great high end salon with reasonable prices and in the East Bay! I can't recommend enough. Go go go and book with Collette!

Fun, sweet, gifted hair care specialist! I have thin hair that I've never been that thrilled about. She talked me out of cutting it like a "V" which i wanted (i donno how else to describe it) and got me on board with letting her cut it straight across to make it look fuller. I've spent countless hours in Lauren's chair, and she has never sent me home any less than excited about my hair! We've gone from brown to dirty blonde, to purple, to black and gray, to brown, and blonde again. She's also a balayage master!! She's handled my hair cut anxiety like the professional she is, and I've trusted her with my life. I've been going to Lauren for just over two and a half years. I'll start off with saying that I walked in looking a hot mess -- I hadn't had my hair professionally done in MONTHS and my previous stylists didn't quite "get me", so my hair was multiple dull colors that didn't make me happy. Lauren is a true miracle worker. I went to her with severe damage from using box color. My hair was dry, lifeless, really dark and no shape to it. I came in for a consultation then booked with her. WOW!!! My hair went from a dark, dreary look to a beautiful carmel balayage and a cut and style that lit up my face and took years off my look. Lauren is THE ONLY person I trust with my hair. I've been going to see Lauren for awhile now and she's always cut and colored my hair perfectly! I think the first time I went to Lauren I was going from dyed dark hair back to a balayage type thing and she transformed my hair! I seriously won't go to anyone else... plus she's the sweetest person, always goes the extra mile, and she's just great at what she does. 10/10 would recommend.
