I highly recommend booking a hair appointment at iSalon! I had my appointment with Josie and she was super transparent & clear about the whole hair coloring process. I first had a hair consultation appointment with her so we both can see how my hair would react to bleach and I really appreciated this because I wasn't sure if my hair could even handle bleach but it did! So then we booked another appointment for the hair coloring & i really liked how she communicated the process with me throughout the whole thing! Overall, I am very satisfied with my hair and I would definitely come

For years I tried to go cheap with haircuts from Chinatown, but thought I'd give this place a try. I was seriously impressed. The only word I can think of to describe my haircut was how *clean* it looked. Josie managed to tame my crazy wavy hair with a cut that still looked clean even after I washed it again at home. I loved chatting with her throughout the cut too - even though it was my first time there, she made me feel comfortable enough that it felt like we were old friends catching up. As much as I hesitated about spending more than my usual Chinatown haircuts, I'd say this place

My sons have been getting their hair cut here since they were 2 years old. Brenda, Ashley, and Josie are seriously the nicest and most talented hair stylists. My boys could not tolerate haircuts until we started going here, and now they look forward to going to "Ashley's house" for their periodic trims. (and for the lollipop rewards that the salon gives them for behaving) My husband also got his hair cut alongside the boys today and he looks great! I'm definitely going to start scheduling family trips to iSalon from here on out.

Ashley just gave my little girl the best haircut ever.
I'm very emotionally attached to her hair! She's been asking for a cut, and iSalon has never disappointed with the cuts I've got in the past!
They were able to get us in the same day. Ashley was so careful with her. Due to her length and how thick her hair is, she needed a shampoo as well, and Ashley did the most age appropriate cut / blow dry to bring her curls back and get the extra weight off.
I got us back in the car super teary eyed simply because the cut really is that beautiful!

It's been a year since I cut my hair, and Brenda did an amazing job! I don't write reviews often, so when I do, just know that it's serious. She's so knowledgeable about what she's doing, and she was so fun to talk to. The hour went by quickly because we were talking about one topic to the next. I just wanted a trim and light layering, and that's exactly what I got! She keeps in mind what you want and offers more suggestions along the way. I can see why everyone wants to go here. She even gave me purple shampoo recommendations, which I desperately needed. Thank you

I found this hair salone last year around Dec and went in to get hair color. I had an appointment with Ashley. After looking at my hair she advised me not to color my hair since it was way too damaged due to my previous bleaching.She recommended me to to take good care of my hair and come back after a year. I went back again few days ago to see Ashley and we decided to get a hair cut and my hair was healthy enough for a new color. But due to circumstances Josie did my hair and i can't believe how it turned out. I love my hair so much and im glad she gave me this great haircut afterwards. She

I've been here twice, mostly cuz I can walk here from my house and even though I had a different stylist each time, I was impressed both times with my hair. I brought in a photo of what I want, a cut that I think might work with my hair type/face shape and explained what I wanted from my haircut and they 100% nailed it both times! Staff is very friendly and are good at holding the right amount of conversation. It was also super easy to schedule an appointment. I'll definitely keep coming here. Keep it up iSalon!

Josie, Ashley, and Brenda have all been great hairstylists! Each partners with you to in order to give you exactly what you want. This isn't the sort of place that you come and just get a basic chop. You walk out with exactly what you wanted and they provide excellent recommendations to bring that style to life.
Bonus: They offer tea and water no and give a great scalp massage!

Years ago, I used to be a loyal customer to iSalon and then one day I decided to venture off to explore other salons. After bouncing around a few stylists I made it back to iSalon this morning for a haircut with Ashley, and just a few days before my birthday.
Ashley actually cut my hair before and I recalled she did a good job. I showed her a couple pictures of the hair styles I had in mind and she quickly got to work. She's friendly, professional, personable, and highly experienced. I left with healthy, shiny, fresh layers, and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

ISalon just became my new go-to hair salon. I normally cut my hair once a year and I've been experimenting with different salons around Oakland and Alameda and I'm glad to finally say that I'm settling with iSalon. I had an amazing experience with Ashley. She is so confident with what she does, she knows exactly the type of hair treatment I needed for my hair. I also wanted to get an ash brown balayage from my ugly blonde balayage and my hair looks so healthy and brand new - I'm literally so obsessed! Thank you, Ashley! Came in with no appointment, only wanted a bang trim so they accomodated me. It was such a different experience than everywhere else I’ve been lately! Josie made sure I was getting what I wanted to get done. She was very professional, so is the other lady at reception. I will recommend to everybody for sure!

I got my hair cut by Vanessa about 4 mornings ago. I had been here twice before and they have always done an exceptional job cutting my hair. I can not say the same about my most recent appointment.
My long blonde hair was well past my waist line. I was expecting 4-5 inches off as I haven't had a cut in about 2 years. Roughly 12 inches of my hair was cut off (not an exaggeration), and now my hair barely covers my chest area.
I have never dyed my hair but am now considering it because I just can't accept this hair cut. I know I probably sound dramatic but I literally cried the following

She was very friendly and optimistic; offered be light snacks (Oreos, cookies, Cheezits, chips and mandarins) and beverages (water, tea, and coffee) that is complementary by iSalon. My appointment was at 2:00PM, but luckily I was seen 5 to 10 minutes earlier, since I was waiting in the front already.

Updated review! I've had 3 or 4 services here before having an appointment with Ashley P. yesterday.
Services were running a little behind so they called me to let me know and to ask if I could come later. Notice appreciated.
Ashley gave an excellent head massage while shampooing my hair. It was very relaxing. Felt like I was seeing a masseuse not a hair stylist.
Later, she let me talk about exactly what I wanted and told me very clearly and detailed what she was going to do. I thought it was a bit much at first but I changed my mind instantly when I realized if someone else has the scissors

I'm a regular with my hair and now my nails. The woman who does nails is very sweet, gives a great foot/leg massage, and the price for a pedicure is quite reasonable. I only have two suggestions: (1) get better lighting for the nail room...it is too bright; and (2) encourage hair stylists to get better with scheduling. I've had to sit and wait several times. I respect people's schedules, show up before my appointment time, but often have to wait beyond the time for the previous customer to be finished.

I've been searching for a stylist for close to a year. Bouncing from one cheap bad haircut to the next. I finally decided to spend some money and found iSalon. The studio is amazing, clean, contemporary and the staff goes out of their way to make sure your needs are meet. I booked a haircut appt. with Dinah for a Lob cut. A LOB is just a long bob. If you don't know what a bob is, just google it :)
I got there like 5 mins before my appt. time. Free parking lot with a pizza spot, dollar tree and other stores. I was offered a beverage and they had lots of magazines at the front and comfy seating.
Dinah took me to the chair like 2 mins later. I showed her some pictures on Google and we went over the length and stuff. She cut like 3" off straight across and then we went to shampoo & conditioner my hair then back to the chair for the trimming, shaping
