I went there to get a cut and it was wonderful--I got so many compliments and was super happy with the cut. I have thick hair and appreciate those who can cut it to look gorgeous! I found success here!

I had really long hair but needed a cut for an important visit weekend for a PhD program. Didn't want anything complicated, just a decent haircut that would make me look professional. My friend recommended Gio's, and I thought I'd give it a shot. Was able to get an appointment promptly, and when I showed up the stylist actually spent 5-10 minutes talking to me about what I wanted. After settling on a general style, I let her go to work.

Really nice staff and great service! Carrie did my haircut, and she did a wonderful job. I have very fine hair and it's not that thick so I often have trouble finding stylists who really understand how to work with it. I also felt like I gave her a longish list of specifications (short but still long enough to pull back, volume-boosting, low-maintenance, no hairdryer or roundbrush necessary, etc) but Carrie didn't bat an eye. She instantly knew what cut would check all the boxes and it turned out great! Thank you so much!!

Two years ago I was looking for a new stylist that specialized in curly hair. My hair had always been cut the same and I was confident that someone who understood “curly” could really help the health and appearance of my hair. He transformed my natural light brown hair in a gorgeous black so elegantly that my friends can't stop complimenting it and strangers believe it's my natural hair color. He keeps you comfortable the whole time and caters to whatever you need during!

This is a very clean and well kept salon. I switched to Gio’s to follow Rob, who has been doing my hair for the majority of my college years. I had REALLY long hair (almost down to my butt) and decided to go for a short haircut recently. After reading reviews of salons downtown and comparing prices, I decided to go with Gio's. I was able to set up a same-day appointment and even though the salon was closing at 4, a stylist took me at 3:30. The stylist, Casie, was extremely attentive and really went the extra mile to make sure she grasped exactly what kind of cut I wanted. She was friendly and gentle and my hair turned out EXACTLY how I envisioned it. 10 inches off and I could not be happier! The salon itself was stylish and comfortable

I have been getting my hair highlighted and cut by Amy for more than 10 years at Gio's (no lie!) -- I grew up in this town and stop by to get my hair done by Amy each time I am back in town to visit the family. I highly recommend and believe it's a great value and consistent cuts.

Rip off salon . Do not be surprised if your hair comes out glowing in the dark as did my daughter's hair. Most expensive unreasonable unprofessional salon I have ever dealt with. Owner has not returned my calls, who needs customer service when a new set of victims arrives with each semester.

I just came from Gio's hair salon this morning and got a cut and color. The cut was awesome, but the color was a little too light for my liking. Inside the salon it looked fine, but when I stepped out into the daylight I realized it was a little lighter than I would have liked.

As soon as I got home and made sure I really wasn't comfortable with the color I called and asked if they could darken it up maybe add some low lights or a toner.

They refused to fix my hair for free even tho I had JUST left and was not happy with the outcome. They wanted to charge me a completely new fee for

I was a bit skeptical about trying a new hair salon at first, as I usually stick to what I know, but Gio's was great. A haircut for $35 opposed to the $50 I pay at home in NJ, which is way more reasonable to a student. No frills or fancy lotions. They don't bog your hair down with anything, or try to sell you their products. I loved how my hair looked afterwards. Give them a try - plus everyone is So nice and easy to talk to!
