Dr. Scott Edwards is a lifelong Memphian and loves to help patients create their perfect smile. After graduating from Overton High School, he received a degree in biology from the University of Tennessee. After graduating from UT Dental School, Dr. Edwards opened his private dental practice in 1982.

We're nestled in East Memphis right off Poplar Ave, which means we're easy to access and convenient to multiple locations. We recognized there are many dentists in Memphis, all scattered throughout the greater metro area, but not all dentists are equal. One of the benefits of coming to our East Memphis office is the convenience.
Midtown Memphis is a lively and vibrant place to live and work. However, it can be difficult to find a great dentist in Midtown versus the outer metro areas, like Germantown, Cordova and Collierville. This is one of the reasons why we've moved into Midtown Memphis-to provide great dental care in area that's convenient for people living and working in the area.

I called yesterday. My appointment was this morning. I was late and they still saw me right away. The staff was nice and friendly upon arrival and throughout the visit everyone was really accommodating. I had a broken tooth and they fixed me up with a root canal and temporary tooth on the spot. My appointment is tomorrow to get the actual tooth repair done. Quick friendly and awesome. I would definitely recommend this office…Continued…….So today is the tooth repair appointment and when I tell you the staff here is awesome. Everything is perfect!

Lovely people. They went above and beyond to get me in right away when I was having incredible tooth pain, when my dentist was booked up. And when they realized I needed a root canal, they called every endodontist in Memphis until they found one available. Every single person I went through in that building was incredibly kind and very helpful! I highly recommend, I will be going there from here on out!

I am a patient now for about 33 years after a fellow pharmacist friend referred me to him. Both of his locations over these many years has been consistently well run and delivered good service. The dentist the I have seen for years, up and left town with no notice. Selling it to another 'franchise' dentist. So I was looking for a new dentist. My husband has been a longtime patient of Dr. Edwards and I decided to try his practice. I could not be more happy. They were very thorough. Explained everything to me. My teeth have never been cleaner! Now, I would not consider going anywhere else!

My entire family has been coming to this practice for decades. Their office staff is SO on top of everything, and they’re absolutely the sweetest. Everybody takes such good care of us. My MD father refuses to see anybody else. Tooth killing you over the weekend and you can’t stand to go another day? We’ll work you in— same day. And they have two offices (Midtown & East Memphis) for added convenience. 10/10, would recommend to everyone— and I have!

Dr. Edwards staff from the front desk, dental assistants, and Dr. Edwards himself, are super friendly all while maintaining exceptional professionalism. I suffered from front teeth loss as a result of a traumatic accident at the age of 14, and Dr. Edwards staff helped me with temporary teeth solutions until I was able to get my permanent implants. They helped me gain confidence in my temporary smile, all while preparing me to get my permanent implants. Their team is very reliable and will always be there for you, no matter what the problem is.
