Your child will receive several immunizations during the first two years of life. These can be expected during your child's well visits at the ages of 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, and 15-18 months old. They will also receive boosters around the ages of 5 years, 11-12 years, and 15-16 years of age. You will receive information about each vaccine and will have the opportunity to discuss the immunizations before your child receives them.
The Academy of Pediatrics recognizes that each child and family is unique: therefore, recommendations for preventative pediatric health care are designed for children who have no manifestations of any important health problems, and are growing and developing in satisfactory fashion.

I can't express to you just how much you shouldn't bring your children here. We have nothing but terrible experiences at both the Hampton and Portsmouth locations. One instance was when my son was still an infant with eczema, my entire family has eczema, and the Doctor started checking my son for injuries and I was treated as if I neglected or abuse my baby. As a doting new mother this was the biggest slap in the face I could've ever received. Since then nothing has improved. Especially the attitude of the staff, which leaves much to be desired.

Portsmouth pediatrics is where it’s at! It’s where my parents brought me as a kid and now where I bring my newborn son! Everything single nurse, doctor, and person working the front desk has gone above and beyond for my family. We just found out that my son is lactose intolerant and Portsmouth pediatrics completely hooked us up with the best formula on the market. The 24/7 on call doctor also came in clutch when something just didn’t seem right with my son. I got the information I needed ASAP and feel so comfortable that my son is in the right hands.

We had a great experience with Portsmouth Pediatrics at the hospital when my daughter was born. They are conveniently open on weekends for appointments and have a doctor on call 24/7 for parents of patients to call. Their guidance is very compatable to our lifestyle decisions. Portsmouth Pediatrics is a great extension of our family to be able to turn to for answers when our daughter has been sick. If there was a 6 star option, they would get that!

My daughter has been going here since she was born December 2018. I called them today to get her seem for health reasons and I apparently owe them $310 from when she was just 3 days old. They said they have tried multiple times sending the bill to the insurance company but wouldn’t show proof of it. I then call my insurance and they say they have no received any bill from them. Again I called today to get her seen as soon as possible. They then tell me that they are refusing to see my child because of the payment I owe them!! HOW CAN YOU REFUSE AN 11 MONTH OLD BABY THAT IS MISERABLE!!!!!! I will

My wife and I were initially skeptical due to some of the reviews here, which is why I felt compelled to share our great experience. My wife and I just had our baby girl and needed a pediatrician who was open on the weekends since our little girl was born with Jaundice, and we would not be discharged unless we were seen the following day. When we called, the front office personnel was extremely friendly and attentive to our request for a next day appointment - on Easter Sunday mind you. When we got there, the office personnel was again great; checking our newborn in and getting us to a room quickly

I have been going to Pediatrics since I was a young girl and now I'm proud to say I bring my daughter there. As a new mother, they have taken the time to answer all questions I have and explained every step, reason for visits, what to look out for, what our next steps are, etc. I leave there feeling well-informed and good that the health of my daughter is in great hands. The doctors are wonderful, they really listen to your concerns and it's comforting to know they are available 24/7 as a resource. The nurses have always been very sweet and the office staff have made making an appointment and dealing

I wrote a negative review of the office manager who refused to schedule my children’s flu shot based on an unpaid balance. Her rudeness and word manipulation was noted. That review is gone ..? And now we received a notice terminating our right as customers there based on me being rude to “her staff”. The truth is that I requested to speak to an office manager based on the receptionist not being able to schedule the office visit even though I clearly stated that I would take care of this balance in person when I got there for the flu shot. Never have we missed a payment nor lack the means

I asked to have my daughter referred to a specialist and they gave me the phone number. I thought something may have been off when the voicemail didn’t state the name of the facility, so I didn’t leave them a message. The physician had the nerve to go off on me for not having attempted to schedule an appointment with the number they provided. I told her to call it, and sure enough, it was a mother of another child in the practice. Thank god I didn’t leave a message.
I’ve also had problems with a specific physician who is primarily in the Hampton office. My daughter was primarily breastfed

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice. I currently have five children enrolled as patients, some of whom we have adopted, and have come from complex social situations. The office staff has always been professional. Remember, this is a busy crucial office, the office staff is doing their best to be thorough and meets the needs of multiple patients at a time. Sometimes they are brief, but certainly not unprofessional. Dr. Turner is the definition of a grandfatherly and caring pediatrician from a lost era. He has taken a tremendous amount of time to understand the needs of my children
