A bench, especially either of two facing benches, placed in a nook or corner beside a fireplace. When my colleagues and I started the company and needed a name, we thought about how we wanted a name that reflects our desire to be a complementary capability that adds value and extends usefulness to an existing environment without causing turbulence or intrusion.
