Services
We are a proud and active supporter of our community. We sponsor not-for-profit organizations and numerous local high school sport groups. We provide supportive services to the Wayne County Humane Society and work closely with the Wayne county animal services to help injured animals that are found without owners.
Walworth Animal Hospital is a privately owned full service facility. While striving to promote preventative medicine, we provide an in-house laboratory, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, behavioral consultation, radiology, and ultrasonography. Our ultrasound has telemedicine capabilities, allowing us to obtain second opinions by forwarding images to specialists.
Annual exams, preventive health care, vaccinations, heartworm testing, control of intestinal parasites, and geriatric or "senior" screening are just a few of the ongoing health care services we provide. Specific radiographic studies (intestinal barium studies and renal evaluation) are performed, along with in house ultrasonography.
We have boarding facilities for both dogs and cats. Our main canine boarding kennel is separate from our hospital kennels, with separate ventilation and air conditioning. We provide daily walking and play time. We also have an outdoor fenced play yard. Our feline boarding room is separate from the clinic as well, with large enclosures that provide cozy hiding spaces within.
Many owners are busy and forget to give heartworm prevention even though they have purchased it with good intentions of administering it to their pet. Most of the products come with stickers to place on your calendar to remind you to give the product and there are email reminders that the companies will send you once a month for the computer dependent people.

First time for our yorkie terrier Toby, who has mild anxiety, needing to be boarded because our daughter was going to be proposed to out of town, with all our family there. He needed the required shots to stay… and he had a physical. On the way to our destination, we got a call saying there was abnormal results with a test and he shouldn’t stay but they understood we were already miles away and would get some definite answers on the results. After another hour traveling, the staff left me the kindest voice mail that Toby was not in any danger and he was doing great and have a great

I interviewed at this hospital a few years ago for a kennel/vet tech assistant position. To this day, how I was treated at the interview still disturbs me. I was interviewed by Dr. Miller who did not even say hi to me when I entered the room, said verbatim that any feelings I had towards services or surgeries that they do (they did declawing at the time and various things like that) were not to be spoken about and they did not care how anyone felt about these surgeries and when I left she just turned the chair and went back to her computer. Dr. Drouin on the other hand was incredibly pleasant and

I recently brought my senior dog and my newly adopted dog to Walworth as new patients. Their first visit/exam was impressively thorough, and I appreciated very much that Dr. Campbell came out to discuss with me some issues they have. A few days ago, I brought my senior dog in for a dental procedure. Again, I was both impressed and very thankful… that, as the planned routine procedure ended up being more complicated, there was excellent communication so we understood and knew exactly what was happening with our dog as they proceeded. They were also nice enough to call the next morning to

My dog Shelby went to a different vet for many years. However when it came time to put her to sleep, after almost 13 long years, we wanted her in a space where she felt safe so we decided to bring her to Walworth (a new vet with no negative association for Shelby) and we could not have been more pleased. Losing a pet is never easy and it was one of the hardest things my family has ever had to do. They allowed us to do it outside near the pond which made Shelby feel at ease. A few days later we received the nicest and absolutely most thoughtful card. Most vets just send one that says “sorry for

My ~18 year old rescue Casey was headed downhill. we knew we needed to get her into the vet. My vet had no openings. This was the third place I called. Even though they were booked, Dr. Miller took us in… anyway. The news was as bad as we thought it would be, but Dr. Miller showed so much compassion to people and a cat she had never met that it helped us make the right decision for Casey. She made such a sad experience so much better for us. I will never forget how she helped us through this. RIP Casey 07/03 to 03/21.

I have taken my senior rescue dog here and ended up waiting over an hour to be seen. My apt for my dog was at 10 A.Am and they took over 25 dogs in before I was seen at 11:15. She had poor oral health which is causing ear infections left and right and the liquid applications don’t stay in her ear when she shakes. I have request a gel form multiple times but have never got any prescribed. I had paid $135 to have her ears cleaned out and get medication to only find her ears weren’t fully cleaned out and she was in pain for 3 days afterwards.

I did not have a vet for my cat as she has been indoor for 8 years. When she got sick Walworth Animal hospital took her as a patient when no one else would. They got her in quickly anytime I needed them and helped her to recovery. I will always be grateful for their service as busy as they are they found the time.

The staff at Walworth Animal Hospital has been tremendous during the pandemic. Kudos to the whole team! You have figured out successful work arounds so that you can keep yourselves safe in the work place and still serve your clientele. I am most grateful for your being there to help keep our animals healthy.
Looking at things, I can see that the whole front end process has been turned upside down and you are relying on phone communication for every appointment. Your phones must be ringing nonstop.
Keep up the great work everyone.

I can not praise this Animal Hospital enough! My grand dog developed a terrible infection on his leg. While the kids were out of state. I took him to his now previous vet-who truly did NOTHING but talk down to me and give the dog antibiotics. His wound only got worse. I am so glad that Walworth Animal Hospital welcomed us and immediately treated Rocky. Don’t waste your time anywhere else. This is THE place to take your pet!
