He attended Grand Haven Christian School and graduated from Grand Haven High School and then Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science. He was recently awarded his 50 year certificate in funeral service. Dave is married to the former Sandra Wierengo and together they have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
We are located on property that was the former Klemple Dairy in the mid 1900's. It's a large corner lot with a prominate waterfall, just East of US 31 about 3/4 of a mile. The Funeral Home is on the south side of the City of Grand Haven, at the corner of Robbins Road and Beechtree. We provide ample well lit parking and beautifully maintained grounds.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.

We have worked with Klaassen Family Funeral Home several times in the past 4 years. Every time the staff has been warm and kind, not to mention knowledgeable. The first time we were arranging a funeral for a very close friend whose affairs we not in very good order. We were guide through all the details that needed to be handled. They were gracious and patient. We have set-up the funeral arrangements for both of us. And recently they took care of the
Funeral for our 48 year old son who died quite suddenly. We'd encourage anyone to consult with the Klaassen staff.

The Klaassen Family Funeral Home did a great job with my father's funeral. Mr. Klaassen and his staff were wonderful, supportive, friendly, and accomodating. The visitation time on Friday evening was very well done, with plenty of space, a slide show of images we provided, soft music, and stands for our picture boards. The facilities at Klaassen Family Funeral Home were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. There was even a private family retreat area that included a mini kitchen and a private outdoor patio. The services provided for the burial, the visitation at the church, and the funeral

The death of a family member is a profoundly challenging time. When my wife Nancy died in August this year, one of the bright spots for me was the support and encouragement provided to me by Dave, Scott, Jaime, and the entire Klaassen team. They assisted me with the paperwork and financial decisions of the first days and have continued to check in on me and encourage me in planning Nancy’s celebration of life. I am grateful to Klaassen Family Funeral for their time with me.

I highly recommend Klaassen's Family Funeral Home. My parents both wanted simple and affordable final arrangements when they passed. The wonderful staff at Klaassen's listened to what our family needed and helped us plan what our parents requested. We never felt pressured into 'one more thing'. The staff continued to keep in touch with us through our journey of grief even after the memorials were done. We are so thankful for Define staff at Klaassen's.

Very pleased with how Klaassen worked with our family and the services offered when my father passed a few years ago, and my mother more recently. Very kind and compassionate and they were great at problem solving and decision making with us to make sure we had the service and burial we wanted for them both.

Kurt and Scott Klaassen assisted myself and family in the resent death of our sister. They were compassionate and responsive to all of our questions surrounding the planning of the funeral. They provided direction when we were uncertain about how best to honor our sister's life. Exceptional coordination of the visitation and gravesite experience.

Klaassen's did an exceptional job with my mom's funeral! They went above and beyond to make it special. They assisted me with photos and put together a beautiful video with a sailing theme, as she was an avid sailor. Afterward, drinks and desserts were served, and the cake was just delicious! Everything was displayed nicely, and tables were set up for sitting down to eat and socialize. They also serviced my father's funeral with the same care and thoughtfulness. I feel very blessed they handled both and will be forever grateful they were so special and memorable!

My siblings and I were very satisfied with the kindness and services Klaasen’s provided. They helped with my dad’s funeral so there was no question that we would use their family again for our mom. They go above and beyond and they also have a daily grief message that one can sign up for that has been a calming influence for me daily.
