Services
Though we try to maintain consistent class schedules for your planning purposes, class schedules are subject to change. No Classes are held the Monday following testing - Belt Ceremony and Birthday celebration begins at 6pm on the Monday following testing. Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International is proud to join forces with the Malaria Foundation International (MFI) to help combat malaria.
Commerce Choi Kwang Do promotional testing is held monthly and provides an opportunity for the students to show the examiner what they have learned and to determine the student's readiness to promote to the next higher belt rank. It is also an opportunity for the student to receive feedback to continue their development.
Commerce Choi Kwang Do is a participating school in the Choi Kwang Do Martial Arts International/Malaria Foundation International partnership to help combat malaria. Our students are raising money on their own and through events to help. Students have a coupon book - if someone donates at least $1 that person receives a coupon that allows them to train for free for one month at any participating Choi Kwang Do School.
In Choi Kwang Do Belt Rank System, Ninth DAN (9th Degree Black Belt) is the highest rank and is held only by Grandmaster Choi. Fifth DAN and above denotes a Master, while Eighth and Ninth DAN indicates the Rank of Grandmaster. The purpose of the belt rank system is to demonstrate progressive levels of seniority and proficiency in the skills of Choi Kwang Do and to distinguish Junior from Senior students.
