All staff members have a minimum of three and a half years of training.

The front desk staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was pulled into an office by the billing manager who laid into me for not paying my bill and then was then told that Dr. Mays would not be seeing me. I had not received a statement and was not aware that there was a balance on my account. There are many other options for great dentists in the Hyde Park/Mt. Lookout area. My advice is to find someone who values your health and well being as their number one priority.

Excellent dentist, but after I waited 7 weeks for an appointment, they cancelled on 45 minutes notice. When I called an hour or two later to reschedule, the next date available at a time I could come was at least 7 to 8 weeks out. I know dentists are backed up after the pandemic but I was honestly surprised at the total lack of interest to try to… work me in, especially with the VERY short notice they gave me. Instead it was treated as scheduling a completely new appointment. Regret it but will have to find some other arrangement. Maybe Dr. Mays already has too many patients.

My recent appointment was for a cleaning with Angie. She has been my hygienist for several years and I cannot say enough good things about her. First, she genuinely cares about her patients. She is also professional, thorough, pays attention to details and she listens. I have the utmost confidence in her work.

Have been a patient of Dr. Mays for about 10 years. Went to my semi annual checkup/cleaning with Dr. Mays and her assistant Ami. The office was extremely clean an orderly relieving any Covid concerns immediately. Ami efficiently took X rays and cleaned my teeth. Dr. Mays also checked my teeth and X rays. Everything was done efficiently and effectively with warm cordial grace. I would certainly recommend Dr. Mays to friends and family.

I never minded going to the dentist but Dr.Mays and associates make it feel more pleasant and comfortable. The staff has always been very nice and helpful. They are very friendly, efficient and professional. Dr.Mays is so nice and explains everything she is doing. I am happy I found such a great group.

Dr. Mays and all of her staff, from the office personnel to all the members of the dental team, are the absolute best. Everyone on the staff is friendly, welcoming, and personable. I've never had a dentist who was so committed to providing the best care and to utilizing the latest equipment and practices.

Doctor Mays herself is great, however after my last experience with her staff, I will not be heading back to this office.
The story is this. After scheduling my appointment 6 months in advance, I come into work to a call from Dr. Mays office notifying me that they will need to reschedule me to another time; it had snowed, and the weather that day wasn't great. I agreed that I could reschedule, and inquired about options.
After review they said they could take me that moment....or sometime during the work day the following week. While this could be OK for someone who doesn't work,

Love this office. Dr. Mays is a wonderful and talented dentist, and the staff are great too. I've had both Serena and Angie for cleanings and they both are so sweet and do a great job. I like that the office is very modern and has all-digital X-rays, cameras to watch trouble spots, etc. Coming here made me not dread the dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Mays for about 3 years now and I really like it there. They know me really well. Everybody is friendly including Dr. Mays. Their office is very clean and nicely decorated and just very homey.
I like the fact that they don't push anything on me. If there is anything I have to have done they explain it to me and leave the decision making to me.
They also have an after hours line and I've actually received a call back on a Sunday from Dr. Mays herself.
The only reason I've given them 4 1/2 stars is because they don't have any TVs at their office.

Woooooooo, do I hate going to the dentist. But I don't hate going to Dr. Mays's office.
The staff there does everything they can do make me feel comfortable. I have a borderline phobia about the dentist and yet I've gone back every six months since I started going to see Dr. Mays. The cleanings are fast and efficient, and they let me listen to music on my iPod so I can try to pretend I'm anywhere but at the dentist.
I recommend Dr. Mays's office to anyone, but especially to anyone who's afraid of the dentist.
