Well, I got into dentistry mostly because my father was a dentist. My partner, Dr. Dave, always wanted to be a dentist since he was a little kid. I was not in that category, but I liked the idea of working with my hands. Being my own boss was actually very appealing. Having a group of people that you kind of direct and create something that you liked, and you wanted to pursue, is kind of what appealed to me.
I was always interested in the health care field. After considering different fields when I was younger, I felt dentistry would be really what I wanted to throw my energy and ambition into. I think a lot of it has to do with the ability to have long-term relationships with your patients as opposed to seeing them for an emergency, taking care of them, and never seeing them again.

I moved from Northern Kentucky to Cincinnati last year and needed to find a new dentist. I chose Bell after searching through my insurance preferred providers and checking reviews. Honestly I couldn't be happier. The new patient appointment included time for me to talk to Dr Bell about any concerns. And every appointment since I've felt like they go out of their way to make sure I understand what's going on, understand what I'm being billed for, any questions I have are answered, and most importantly my comfort.

I went in today for a free Consulting with the dentist. I was told it was free when I called and made the appointment. The receptionist was nice she told me the dentist would look at my teeth and we would discuss moving Foward with x-rays if needed and if I did decide to get any work done then we would discuss the financial stuff. I think this practice is excellent, and I think they are following all of the CDC infection control guidelines. My only concern after visiting them on 4/29/21 is that they seem to have a practice-wide policy against letting dentists and employees voluntarily tell those patients who inquire what their personal COVID-19 vaccination status is (this is not a HIPPA violation). I freely share with anyone that I am fully vaccinated, and I am more comfortable visiting health care providers who are also fully vaccinated.

Dr. Dave Bell and the entire team at Bell Dental Group are fantastic. I recently needed a new dentist and Bell was recommended to me. I strongly recommend them as well. They scheduled me in for my first visit within a week, where couple of other places that I checked were months out ... and this is a busy practice. They are the best dental practice that I have experienced. Well organized, safe during COVID, on time, patient friendly, proactive follow up are all hallmarks of Dr. Dave and the team. My frustration with this office is the result of a bigger problem. Loyalty means nothing. I understand it's all about the money; I'm not delusional, but it should not be this hard to get the care that every dentist would scold you for neglect. I saw this dentist for cleanings and fillings for maybe a year or two when I first moved here. In my last appointment with her, she was aware I lost my job and would be on Medicaid. We even talked about the difference/quality in the materials/drugs used for Medicaid patients. In the entire appointment, she did not once tell me I would need to find

The dentists and hygienists are very knowledgeable and good conversationalists. The staff are excellent and will work with you on scheduling and finances. They have appointments sometimes as late as 6:30pm which is really nice if you work long hours. The equipment looks up to date. Overall, highly recommended!

I don't want to go in detail about my bad experience there. That makes me upset.To put it simply: I followed the dentist's suggestion to do resin composite for six of my teeth during a teeth cleaning routine, these teeth start becoming sensitive and hurts a lot for 4 months. These teeth doesn't hurt before the procedure. Never had such experience before. No sensible explanation from the dentist except "it's normal, and it will go away".

Bell Dental Group is just the best! I am an admittedly terrible dental patient, but they are so patient and kind with me, adapting for all my quirks and always making me feel comfortable. They also do incredible work. The staff is genuinely kind, easy-to-talk-to, and compassionate. And Ernie & Dr Maggie are just incredible. You couldn't ask for more in a dental provider!

The staff at Bell Dental Group are some of the nicest most outgoing individuals I’ve come into contact with. Love going to see everyone. Made me feel very comfortable from the start and would recommend this office to anyone. Not to mention the building is very nice inside and parking is convenient as well right behind the building.

I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, but I have been a patient of Dr. Maggie Ernst for a few years and I am always so impressed with the thoroughness and friendliness of the staff. Two years ago I became a patient at Bell. There have been some great visits and some issues with staff and procedures. What has me ready to find another dental service is the resistance to canceling an appointment. They don't take texts or email cancelations ever and no phone cancelations on the weekend. The reminder by email does not allow me to uncheck the checkmark. So with a busy week ahead I am afraid I'll forget. Is this a service to me? No! I'm sure cancelations are an annoyance and can become excessive but treating me as if I work for them is not service.

I've gone to Bell Dental Group for a few years, the Bell Brothers, Dr Chuck and Dr Dave have served the Hyde Park area for over 30 years.
Their team are friendly welcoming and take care of your dental health in an efficient manner. I've had a few services over the past few years and Dr Chuck has called several times in the late afternoon/early evening to check on me making sure I'm doing well.
