I've had treatment from Dr. Kitasoe several years back, and while cavity fillings were painless & done well, cleaning sessions were quite unpleasant. There was a blonde female hygienist who would be quite rough & cause frequent bleeding each time she flossed & scraped against my gums.
My mother had a somewhat different experience. Her hygienist, called Nan, was quite gentle (even though she admits herself that her teeth are hard to clean & in poor shape). However, after she turned down one of the treatment plans, the subsequent cleaning was quite painful.

I've been a patient of Dr Kitasoe for 25 years. I lived in the Bay Area and he was my FT dentist for over five years and loved him. I moved to the Central Coast and never found a better dentist. I have traveled to have all of my major procedures (crowns) with Dr K and it's worth it. He's an incredible specialist, his staff and the office energy are always so warm and welcoming it feels like a family. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. He's amazing at what he does - gives too level care and service and never recommends something that isn't in your best interest

I have been coming here since I barely had teeth! I feel so safe and well cared for at this dentistry. I have heard so many horror stories about other dentists, and I feel so at ease knowing not only Dr. Kitasoe, but also all of the wonderful hygienists and receptionists care so deeply about their patients. I will be coming here for as long as I live in the Bay Area!

Hands down the best dentist ever. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, they make you feel welcome. His staff are kind and gentle and genuinely care not just about your dental needs, but about your overall well being. Our kids see him and his staff as well and I have yet to hear a groan about going to the dentist. So grateful!

Today was my first visit to Dr. Kitasoe. I was struggling with suggestions my current dentist was telling me and Dr. Kitasoe really explained to me the first step I would need to take in order to start fixing my issues. He was very good at explaining everything to me and I left confident that what he suggested was the best first step I needed to take to start helping with the issues. Thank you Dr. Kitasoe!

I have changed dentists several times but now I have found the dentist that I will stay with! I have also moved my kids over to this practice as well. Dr. Kitasoe and his entire staff are extremely sensitive to my family's needs and different personalities!! Everyone in the office is so welcoming and upbeat - I now actually enjoy going to the dentist!

Our family of four have been patients of Dr. Kitasoe for almost 10 years and it's the best dentist we ever had. He is calm, caring, explain well the importance of taking care of teeth to children, makes sure you are comfortable when he has to do a procedure that is necessary. His staff is amazing, you always hear someone laughing. And Dr. Kitasoe's night appliance is amazing and solved my TMJ pain. Thank you so much Dr. K and his wonderful staff!

Dr. K and staff make going to the dentist FUN, thus reducing the fear factor. For DECADES, I resisted going to the dentist because most of them beat me up: I brushed my teeth too hard, I did not brush the right way, and in any case I was destined for dentures by 40. Having found Dr. K more than 15 years ago, my brushing improved to the point where I passed age 60 with all teeth intact - and no longer dread dental appointments. Thanks, Dr. K and staff, for saving my teeth and self-esteem!

Great staff and Dr. Kitasoe is the best. You can tell that the staff and him love what they do and really care about keeping your teeth in the best shape possible. My family and I have been going to Dr. Kitasoe for 10+ years and have since referred classmates, friends, and co-workers who all agree that this is the best Dentist's office you could go to!

The dental assistant, Karen, greeted me by my first name like she was expecting me and had a gift ready for me. There was no, "sign your name on the clipboard and take a seat." Karen offered me complementary items from beverage area. I waited maybe 10 minutes (I filled out new patient paperwork) before someone came to get me. When I got to the dental office, it was small and completely empty so I was the only patient there. Chatted with the dentist so he can get any relevant history or background in his office first before getting into the dental chair. I'm not sure what kind of operation this place runs but it

Dr. Kitasoe is great as a dentist and is very thorough in explaining why and what he's doing to you. He always checks to make sure you're doing okay. He has to be one of the best when it comes preventive care, especially with night grinding and clenching. I use a mouthguard and it has helped tremendously.
The office staff is great also. They are not only very professional; but friendly, helpful and they have a great sense of humor! I always feel welcome and very comfortable while I'm there. The office environment is a reflection of Dr. Kitasoe and how he treats his staff.

Definition local business. He is incredible--I have been seeing him for as long as I can remember. Seamless process and I STRONGLY recommend if you are having problems (or not having any problems).
