My children have been attending classes at this martial arts school for almost 3 years now. During that time, I've witnessed their training and growth through the patience and understanding of their instructors, including Grandmaster Austin Wright Sr, Sensei Jackson, and all of their sensei's. They have encouraged the development of my children's knowledge of the martial arts, as well as having instilled the necessary discipline, self-confidence, and positive character building. Not only have my girls been learning martial arts forms, but they also receive positive life lessons

The center is nice, although they could use a little more room. The grandmaster is nice. It's worth it as long as you can keep up with your contract. They have some type of a no forgiveness policy. Although, it isn't said anywhere on their contract. You can lose your job and they will still charge you for the months left on your contract plus late fees. For myself I moved away, so my kids couldn't attend anymore. There was no compassion for my situation. I even offered to pay small monthly payments even though we had 2 months left AND I let Mr. Wright know weeks ahead, yet they still

I started my Martial Arts Journey over 26 years ago in Bayonne NJ. One of my first instructors was Austin Wright Sr. The first thing that is plain to see when Austin teaches is his unmistakable passion and enjoyment in the martial arts. His enthusiasm is palpable and infectious. As a Karate Ka, his Kata (forms) and Kumite (fighting) were always on point. It was rare to see him not place when he was competing. As an instructor he was and continues to be of a high caliber. Whether it is your first time on the mat or have been training for decades, Master Wright understands the differences and

Great Martial Arts School. They do an excellent job with the kids. My daughter goes there and has won 1st place in point sparring twice at away tournaments. The Head instructor Austin Wright is very friendly and knowledgable. Great staff, and for the monthly Price you can't go wrong.

If you take one thing away from this review, if you are interested in martial arts, sit with Shihan Austin Wright, Sr. for 15 minutes and you will be beyond motivated to begin training. Universal Warrior Arts is the only place in Bayonne, New Jersey to go for martial arts training, whether you are an adult or for your children.

I am a 28 year old Personal Trainer and have been going to Universal Warrior Arts for about 5 months now, after taking a 16-year hiatus. I left when I was 12 because I was more interested in video games at the time (kids will be kids, right?) I always intended on returning

Not very impressed. Went here with my son to see a trial class of kids karate this past weekend. It was dirty, crowded, & beyond disorganized. Kids didn't seem to know where they belonged or when their specific classes were starting. Parents sat in whatever seating was available, texting or making calls or talking. The owner came over & was very nice when talking to me, but given the filthiness, old rugs on the floor, old furniture in the waiting area, & complete lack of focus & organization, this is definitely NOT the place for us!
