Pediatric dentistry (formerly Pedodontics/Paedodontics) primarily focuses on children from birth through adolescence. The American Dental Association (ADA), recognizes pediatric dentistry as a specialty, and therefore requires dentists to undertake two or three years of additional training after completing a general dentistry degree.
Pediatric oral care has two main components: preventative care at the pediatric dentist's office and preventative care at home. Though infant and toddler caries (cavities) and tooth decay have become increasingly prevalent in recent years, a good dental strategy will eradicate the risk of both. My daughter had to come in for an appointment to get a cavity treated. I came in with extreme anxiety about the issue and asked a lot of questions. Dr J was able to calmly answer all of them and reassured me that he was going to use the least intrusive method needed to treat her. During the treatment my daughter didn't even feel the shot given to her and he was able to complete the procedure very quickly. I'm glad I followed my intuition and let Dr J treat my child. We are now going to be regulars at this office.

We had such a great experience at the office. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by front office staff who are very friendly and professional. The waiting room is very modern and they have TVs to keep the little ones busy lol! The assistant who took us back was beyond friendly with my son and had so much patience with him when he wouldn’t cooperate during X-rays, big plus!! And the Dr who saw my son was gentle, understanding, and professional. I will definitely recommend my family and friends to this office!!

My daughter used to love this place. The last time they didn't give her her regular dentist which is not okay for a kiddo on the spectrum. This time they didn't even call to tell me to schedule an appointment, good thing I remember things. The only availability options are miss school or wait until December.... absolutely ridiculous. All this for a child thats at risk for cavities due to special needs and they refuse to make accommodations.

Love this Dentist. Been going here for 6 years. I take all three of my kids ranging from 1-13 year olds. They are great with kids of all ages. I was traumatized by the dentist I had as a kid so I wanted a dentist that specialized in kids dentistry. My kids all love going to the dentist. Job accomplished!!

Literally such a great children’s dentist. They are so friendly from receptionists to dental assistance and doctors. They make you feel like they care about your child and getting to know them. I recommend this place to everyone I know. The inside decor and layout is so nice too.. I took my son there today and he was sad to leave. That says something!!

Hey! I enjoyed the visit, staff were super professional. I took two of my little ones, they got through their procedures with flying colors, toys, and smiles on their faces. They watched a movie of their choice, and were given clear directions of what was required of them. Overall it's a happy place!

This place is amazing!! The people are wonderful and very nice. They treated my daughter with such care. I was able to fill out the paperwork online before the appointment. No waiting forever in the waiting area. Lots of parking. My daughter left with a smile on her face, a super cute princess toothbrush and a little toy. I would definitely recommend this facility to everyone with children. Just marvelous!!! Thank you 😊.

I'm not really one who goes places based on reviews because I like to try new places for my own. I recently moved to Riverside from Irvine and my kids regular dentist seemed too far to drive to, so we decided to go here. We are cash paying patients so the price point seemed fair. My point of concern when taking my son to the dentist was primarily to get my older sons tooth checked as he had fractured it while playing the night before. I took my two boys to Dr. Tang a month ago, for the first time. I never was introduced to her. In fact if you ask my boys how they liked the dentist, they will tell you they don't even know if they met the dentist. I was very shocked to have that type of experience, especially on my first visit there. I would have thought that they would have made it a point to introduce the dentist to someone who is coming to their facility for the very first time.
