In 1959, a group of Maui physicians planned to join together in a medical partnership so that by using their combined skills they could render a higher quality of medical care than any one single physician could. The initial office was at Market and Wells Streets and the Lahaina office was located in the Pioneer Mill Plantation Hospital.
Contact your insurance carrier to inform them of your request to change PCP or Health Center and give reason for change. They will provide you with a list of participating physicians in their plan. Depending on type or severity of complaint, you should call the Wailuku office at (808) 242-6464 and direct your complaint to the following areas: Customer Service Supervisor, Nursing Director or Administration.
Following this information is an agreement that will protect your well-being and your confidentiality. I've been going to this place for over 40 years now, and while the facility is showing it's age, it's still very functional and efficient. Things are run very smoothly, with check in at the entrance, before heading upstairs to whatever appointment you have, so be sure to arrive a little bit early to get your paperwork done. Over the years parking has improved, where you now grab a ticket on your way in and show it on your way out, with validation from the front desk. I don't think I've ever had to wait very long for my procedure, and the staff has always been nice and

This review is directed to the ENT department. Absolutely Terrible experience, staff is very slow the two assistants that I spoke with were either new or completely uneducated. I feel like I’m in a third world country. No one ever has a clue as to what’s going on. How do you lose paperwork? Claim that they will send you results then two months later no results are sent. I called and asked as to why my results are not in and it’s because they didn’t get my blood tested so now my blood is on hold. They don’t know why it hasn’t been tested? I have had no problems with the doctors at Maui Medical. My issue is with their horrible phone system. It always takes a very long time for anyone to answer. As I type this review, I'm at over 10 minutes of the phone ringing with no answer, after I made the initial selections. I need to talk to a doctor about a refill. I have no other number except the main phone number to call. Unacceptable.

I have been waiting for. Four month to see Dr. Bernie after my operation. Four month and then hour and half more at his office.
When he arrived, barely looked at me and said so fast what I’ve been waiting for a seat and talk kind thing with a doctor. To educate myself about my health situation . Didn’t tell me anything. Didn’t explained me anything. So, he left to take care another paciente meanwhile his assistant prepared my shot. Not friendly at all the stuff. I was in so much pain and no compassion at all.

The atmosphere was lovely and the people at the desk were very kind and efficient. Met Dr. Cook for the first time about hair loss. First time I had a wonderful, compassionate doctor. She was so patient and even was kind to my mom as she asked questions on the phone.
I was nervous about doing injections and even told her I was scared, especially about the pain. She was just so sweet and explained how everything worked. I almost felt so emotional. One of the best visits to Maui Medical I've had in a long time.

Biggest flop in this otherwise smooth running organization Its Health Information Management.
My Prescriptions are routed through the wrong physician, and no one there seems able to fix this problem. Thus using their online prescription portal is unsuccessful time after time. Almost two years with this problem. Tiresome, annoying, time consuming (for both me and my correct physician) and frustrating. Don't even try to call and get something like this fixed. You'll be on the phone for 15 minutes and nothing will change.
Other than this, competent and pleasant caregivers and staff. Excellent

If you've got to go to the Doctor this place has good parking,friendly efficient staff , spacious waiting areas and is conveniently located. There is a lab in the same building so you don't have to make multiple stops. On the down side,short health related infomercials play on a continuous loop so if you are there a while you'll have them memorized, and the reading material is pretty much the same , so you may want to bring your own.

I think Dr Fusato is a good doctor. My issue is with the staff, if you arrive late, like only 10 mins, they don't try to wok something out to take you in, they will reschedule you that could be a month later. But if you arrive on time for your appointment, they will make you wait way... past 10 mins. Also, they are not warm and inviting, the staff don't give you the sense that they are there to help you get better, they don't smile, they don't talk to you except the things they need to tell in a monotone way.

This was the worst experience I've had at any doctors office, ever. Aside from issues with my mainland insurance, (they accepted it but didn't 'participate' in it) the way I was treated at the receptionists desk was absolutely unacceptable. From the moment I walked in I was given an attitude, my simple questions were answered in a patronizing tone, and I felt like I was inconveniencing the receptionist by being there, even though I had an appointment. I didn't even make it in to see the doctor because of the way I was treated. I will never be giving my time or money to

MMG's newest clinic has been open since about December 2014, located on the ground floor of the One Hana Highway building which shares the same parking lot as Mercedes Benz. Parking is free and plentiful, and highway access is easy.
It's a very small clinic with only 2 internal medicine and 1 dermatology doctor. There is a Clinical Lab office in the building as well, but should you need any other services such as radiology, you'll have to trek up to the Wailuku clinic. Crowds? Nada! Germ-y, screaming kids? Nada! I love this place!
