The founders of Our Best Restaurant, Kay and Kenneth Way, demonstrated this love for family and friends in the fall of 1990 to the first guest that entered their restaurant.

Appealing to certain clientele. Food was country style, country menu, waitresses were attentive and easy to understand. Our guests had a few complaints, sent meat back for further cooking, and all was done with courteous interaction and a desire to please. Prices were as expected. General country, family, laid back atmosphere with every seat filled, but no long waits. Small gift shop at front by entrance.

Love how this place takes you back into a simple time. Nothing fancy just a good ol country restaurant with all the fixins. Everyone was so friendly and polite. We enjoyed our lunch.The Reuben was excellent. Only could eat 1/2 ..pretty generous sized sandwich. Also was told the fish was good....it looked like it : )

Our first time here and we loved the food! Got a salad to try their homemade Bleu Cheese dressing and it was delicious! Husband got the fries with his burger and they didn't disappoint! My son said it was the best chicken legs. We ordered the fried pickles and they came out hot & fresh! Wish we lived closer because we would definitely go back again!!

I've been here so many times over the past 20 years and it's always been great. This little gem of a restaurant is hidden away in a small town far from the hustle of day to day life. It's great to go to to enjoy a cozy dinner with friends and family. If you like finding hidden places, this one is a great find!

Our Best is a "off the interstate gem" that should be experienced by anyone looking for great food in an interesting setting. But to get there you'll need to get off the interstate and go about 20 miles through beautiful Kentucky countryside to enjoy this gem. But, it is well worth the time and effort. Mind you this is no frou frou trendy restraint but rather a slice of Americana, "stick to your ribs" food. On our recent visit I got country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and Lima beans and my wife got salmon croquettes, green beans, and fried apples. The bread was an Our Best specialty, fried cornbread
