Since 1979, Rose Tree Day School has operated as part of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County (UUCDC), falling under the church's religious status as a non-profit organization. For more than 40 years, Rose Tree Day School has provided exemplary early childhood learning programming to the local community led for the past 30 years by Director, Andrea Sampson and Educational Coordinator, Marianne Conway.
With the need for the type of high-quality programming and safe and nurturing environment that Rose Tree Day School provides at an all-time high, the decision was made to incorporate the school as its own independent entity under the continued leadership of Ms. Sampson and Ms. Conway bearing the new name of Rose Tree Early Learning Center (RTELC).

Services
Rose Tree Day School respects the inherent worth and dignity of each child, understanding that acceptance and awareness of others provides a foundation for children's growth and consideration for the rights of others. RTDS recognizes that each child contributes to the learning of others, and that children process knowledge by using their whole selves to gather information.
Rose Tree Day School has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 1990. NAEYC administers the largest and most widely recognized national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system for all types of early childhood schools and child care centers.
Keystone STARS is an initiative of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) to improve, support, and recognize the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs in Pennsylvania. Early learning programs can earn from a STAR 1 to a STAR 4 level. At each level, programs have to meet certain quality standards.
The Rose Tree Day School Kindergarten program is designated a Nonpublic, Private school by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. We have a 5 day PM Kindergarten program. The Rose Tree Media School district will provide transportation to our program from selected elementary schools in the district.
In our youngest preschool classroom, the Cupcake Class, we utilize a teacher created curriculum that is cross-walked to Pa's Early Learning Standards. The teachers provide activities that promote independence, cooperation, creativity, curiosity, sharing, self-regulation and problem solving in young children.
