We did quite a bit of research regarding nursing homes in the immediate area. Primarily Stamford and Greenwich. Our first experience with a nursing home in Stamford was dismal. Bold and beautiful promises made were never kept. It was actually much worse. The place looked absolutely beautiful from the outside, but the care inside was worse than inferior. My dad ended up in the hospital because of broken promises. I’ll leave it at that. Dad initially went to the Villa for rehab after his fall. That’s one place the Villa absolutely shines. Diego is someone you will want to meet with regarding

My Mom was a resident for 7 years. We were happy here when it was The Smith House when it changed owners The Villa it all went downhill. Lack of activities. Laundry was missing! Mom was always missing clothes until I took It upon myself to do the laundry myself yet still clothes were missing all the time! Everything was labeled. Found Mom’s laundry in roommates laundry hamper many times. I was reimbursed one time but they were still going missing. At Christmas time my family came to see Mom and noticed her coughing and congested. Staff did not communicate that she was sick. I brought it up to

I recently volunteered at the Villa of Stamford with the assistant director of the recreation department, Carla. I had a great time and also learned how important activities really are. They offer many fun and unique activities each month. The residents were always smiling and very welcoming. They also have an awesome rehab unit and the nursing care was great from what I saw, very accommodating place for all. Can’t wait to volunteer again!

So glad we chose to use The Villa of Stamford for my sister's rehab. Having used 5 other facilities in the past with various other family members , this has by far been the best one. The staff is friendly and caring. They are all very encouraging, especially the therapy department. My sister always enjoyed the different activities thoroughout the day. She is almost ready to go home but if the need should arise in the future, The Villa would be our first choice for sure.

My mom was transferred to The Villa at Stamford for rehabilitation, from a hospital directly. She stayed for five weeks. The doctors, nurses, physical therapists, the admission, and social office staffs are friendly and professional. My mom received a really good training in the rehabilitation department. It's a wonderful place for patients who needs rehabilitation care.

I wish there were 10 stars!!! My husband has been at the Villa for 3 weeks as of today. He had an operation and is now trying to learn how to walk again. The rehab department is the best in the state!!!!! It is the only place I have seen a one on one for PT and OT. The support he is getting is just over the charts. The ENTIRE staff of the Villa have become like family to us. Everyone is so willing to do anything to make your stay more comfortable. I wouldn't recommend you go any place but the Villa.
Just set up an appointment to visit it and you can see for yourself. The long term residents also

My father was at the Villa for years with dementia, and just passed a few months ago. Throughout his time there, he was comfortable, safe, and well-cared for. The nurses, aids, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, receptionists, social workers, administration - absolutely everyone treated him with respect, dignity and simple human kindness. I will remain forever grateful.

My father was at The Villa at Stamford for over a month to recover from a heart attack. My father had a wonderful experience at The Villa, the nurses were very kind, helpful and professional. The Rehabilitation Department was excellent, the staff worked with him and motivated him to get back on his feet. It was not easy, it was a lot of hard work, but he always praised them for their great work.
We still go to The Villa to visit my sister who is a long term resident and the nurses always take the time to stop and say hallo to him and ask him how he is feeling.
