While he was with my daughter in South Carolina, he got out of the house. A neighbor found him and called Cross River. who's number was on his vaccination tag, Cross River called my Cell, and we were able to sort this all out and reunite him with my daughter. Thanks !!

I cannot say enough good things about everyone at Cross River Animal Hospital! I have an approximately 12 year old rescue cat who was very sick with an eye abscess. Dr. Mayland was so wonderful getting to the bottom of the cause and creating a plan to get him better. His staff is incredible, too. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable, caring, and extremely efficient.
I highly recommend Cross River Animal Hospital! You can't find better.

The doctor is really good but not the rest of the staff. They hurt my cat while grooming, I had to insist that they pay attention to the pictures I emailed to them so they could see the open wound. They prescribed some meds and they tried to charge $30 for it. I didn’t care about the money but the whole situation, not too mention the pain of my cat.

Doctor Mayland is the best at his craft and always has yours and your pets’ best interest at heart. He is very informative, down-to-earth and very knowledgeable, and takes each client interaction personally. You will always feel at home with him and his lovely staff and your pets will leave happy and healthy, and NEVER overmedicated. Thank you for all you have done for my cat, Rambo!

This was our 1st visit to Cross River Animal Hospital, as my regular vet was booked and couldn't see my cat, who I suspected had a urinary blockage, for a Saturday morning emergency.
I found Dr. Mayland to be very concerned, personable, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient, spending the time to talk with me outside, explaining Waffles situation and the necessary treatment. When I was expecting a basic exam, I learned that the doctor did a catheterization to flush out as many of the urinary crystals causing the blockage.
I was given antibiotics and special food to give the cat and was told

Cross River Animal Hospital is professional and very supportive in all the years they have cared for my Labrador. The environment is warm and welcoming and they've always been gentle and attentive with my dog during every visit ensuring her comfort during evaluations. They go the extra yard to make your pets visit enjoyable and have been very accommodating over the years.
