For years, our family had stayed next door to GullWing at Island Winds. That property had become run down, so we investigated the GullWing property. It was beautiful! We loved staying at GullWing for quite a few years. We often told friends how much we enjoyed staying there. Unfortunately, our stay this month was a huge letdown. There were many issues we needed attended to. The dryer broke, the dishwasher did not operate correctly, there were plumbing problems, and finally a sewer gas odor prompted us to move to a different unit. Great experience! I would stay here again. The resorts pics don’t do the place justice. It is like apartment living in a way right on the beach. Our unit was an ocean view 2 bedroom. It surpassed my expectations and it is on the quieter part of the island. Very well kept and tidy property.

We unfortunately did not have a good experience at all at this resort. There were far too many maintenance issues, to the point that it was somewhat comical and made us laugh every time something new arose.
1. The icemaker was not working upon arrival. It’s a small inconvenience, we had maintenance come and replace something inside the fridge.
2. One of the staff members knocked on the door about an hour after we had settled in. She stated, ”Hi, I need to come in and lock the second bedroom because you didn’t pay for it and only paid for the king bed” (frankly a bit rude) and then proceeded

We stayed at Gullwing in Ft. Myers Beach last week. This was our third stay at this property and it did not disappoint! Last visit was six years ago and the property looked better than ever. This was our first vacation in two years and it was exactly what we needed. Our suite looked updated and was impeccable when we arrived. The Guest Services was staff was very friendly and welcoming. Had a wonderful 3 day stay in the 3 bedroom oceanfront condo. Ive never been here before but the rooms were amazing, the ocean views from the master bedroom and the patio were awesome. Kitchen was stocked w dishes and pans. Pool was not too crowded when we went (though we did hear a crowd in the late afternoon, it didn’t bother us). Beach is a 2-3 minute walk down beautiful buttery soft sand to the ocean. Overall we never wanted to leave. Thanks Gullwing!

Needs a deep clean, paint touch up, and better water pressure. Cosmetically cute. TV in spare room wouldn't connect. Saw a roach this morning while packing, and some unidentifiable gunk on the wall. Not sure if there were clean linens on the bed, or not. Staff downstairs at the desk barely spoke to us as we had a private rental. The were all attitude. Our contact was useless after we checked in. Pool very small for amount of units in the building. Need to gets transportation to the tourist areas. Trolley is useless. Beach is fabulous though!

Great location near the beach and big spacious condominiums. However there's only one pool that is constantly packed and very noisy with loud music playing throughout the day and into the night. The hotel does a poor job enforcing the clearly stated no loud radio rule. For the price they charge you for a beachfront room, you would expect a somewhat quiet and peaceful stay.

What an amazing hidden gem on Ft. Myers Beach's southern shore!
My family had an impromptu extra few days in Florida and with such a last minute reservation, I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I surprised and mistaken when we checked into this all-condo resort. From the hospitality to the GIGANTIC condo and the free upgrade, I was amazed.
This condo was HUGE, easily 1200 sq ft (probsbly more like 1600). The layout is perfect for families and includes a laundry room. The screened in porch was a highlight!
A couple of things to note:
1. This is a residential condo, not really a resort

Latins beware!!! Racist resort! We went on a rainy weekend and because we played music (on volume 5 cause i am polite to other guests) the people upstairs from us called security on us twice at 1pm and at 3pm.. really?? It's raining and we are stuck in an apartment, so we can't listen to music?? Then when we went to the front desk they were going to call the police on us.., really?? They said it was because we went upstairs to talk to the complainers..!mind you they pushed me but i guess because we were Latins it was ok., i will be reporting them to the better business bureau and the

After what could have been a disastrous weekend (check out previous review regarding Pier View) Gullwing came into save the day. The girl at the front desk was so accommodating with our last minute room reservation on a very busy memorial day weekend. She helped us secure a room here and at their sister resort Diamond Head. Gullwing is a nice condominium property. We had a large 2 bedroom condo with a wrap around balcony that gave us both island/ beachviews. Everything was very clean and very homey. I would absolutely stay here again. I am not giving this 5 stars as there is no restaurant or bar

Loved our stay on the beach! First time staying here and we definitely will be back. The only disappointment was when a group booked in, had a conference room and hospitality room on the 8th floor (where we were staying) .. and the noise suddenly got very loud and obnoxious!) Management helped to settle them down, but they should avoid housing people on the 8th floor when this "nonsense" is going on. Overall, great service, great resort, great amenities, and wonderful, wonderful location!

This place is awesome! Went for a girlfriends' getaway and were blown away when we walked into the 3 bedroom condo. Just beautiful with 2 full bathrooms, dining area, bar area, living room and fully equipped kitchen. They really thought of everything. Each bedroom had a walkout to the balcony and the master had an additional smaller, private balcony. The main balcony had views of the bay and the ocean. Everything from start to finish at this resort was great. The staff is friendly and I'm still really impressed with the condo. We enjoyed the ocean most of the trip, but got in the pool

I loved this place. Went with my girlfriend and another couple and can say everyone enjoyed there stay at the Gullwing. The room was massive, everything was clean, kitchen came packed with appliances and the washer/dryer was a nice touch. They met every need we asked for and went above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend staying here, the service is outstanding!

High class, gorgeously decorated condo. Everything you could want and spectacular views of Gulf and Estero Bay. Nice quiet location on south end of the island. Shopping, dining and bus stop, just steps away. Clean, modern and updated appliances in suite.
My one bad experience was a false fire alarm and evacuation early morning. Was very disruptive and the alarm blasted long after we were told to return to our rooms and that it was a malfunction.
Friendly and accommodating desk staff. Small work out room, roof top tennis court beautiful pool and powder sugar beach.

Great family gathering at reasonable prices. 2bed/2bath condos - full large kitchen & spacious living & dining area. Large master suite w/ jacuzzi tub. Down side -No daily room service or maids or conceirge but friendly staff & clean. Elevators small & take long. Beach is a bit of a walk. All in all a good family get away.
