The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These energy channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body to irrigate and nourish the tissues. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers is like a dam that backs up into other rivers/channels.
At this time Chinese diagnostic tools, including pulse taking, will also be utilized in creating a treatment plan. How many treatments a patient will need is determined by how acute or chronic the chief complaint is. The treatment rooms are comfortable and private. Thank you Peggy. I am new to accupuncture and frankly was a bit scared. Peggy was very welcoming to me and thorough in her medical history review.
